THE GREAT AMERICAN TRAILER PARK MUSICAL Opens At Firehouse Theater Project 4/23

By:

The Firehouse Theatre Project's 2008-09 regular season comes to a close with the high-spirited production of The Great American Trailer Park Musical by David Nehls (Music & Lyrics) and Betsy Kelso (Book). The show opens Thursday, April 23rd, and runs through Saturday, May 16.

Directed by Jase Smith and choreographed by Maggie Marlin with musical direction provided by Leilani Monk, the cast features Chris Hester, Kimberly Jones Clark, and Jacqueline (Jacquie) O'Connor in the lead roles.

About the Show:
There's a new tenant at Armadillo Acres, and she's wreaking havoc all over Florida's most exclusive trailer park. When Pippi, a stripper on the run, comes between the Dr. Phil-loving, agoraphobic Jeannie and her tollbooth collector husband Duke, the storms begin to brew!
A show about agoraphobia, adultery, '80's nostalgia, spray cheese, road kill, hysterical pregnancy, kleptomania, strippers, flan and disco - The Great American Trailer Park Musical is everything a musical should be!

"More fun than a chair-throwing episode of Jerry Springer set to music!" - New Yorker

"South Park meets Desperate Housewives!" - The New York Sun

"It's like The Honeymooners meets The Best Little Whorehouse in Urinetown." -Liz Smith, New York Post
