The Public Theater began previews June 6 for the 2011 Shakespeare in the Park summer season featuring MEASURE FOR MEASURE, directed by David Esbjornson, and ALL'S WELL THAT ENDS WELL, directed by Daniel Sullivan. The two shows will run in repertory with the same company of actors through Saturday, July 30 at the Delacorte Theater in Central Park. MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET, the international musical sensation, will transfer to New World Stages (340 West 50th Street) this July. The show will play its final performance at the Nederlander Theatre on Sunday, June 12. Exact dates and ticketing information for the New World Stages run of MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET will be announced shortly.

The strictly limited engagement of THAT CHAMPIONSHIP SEASON played its final performance on Sunday, May 29th at 3:00PM. Now, Variety reports that the play managed to 'overcome the bad press to achieve a hair's-breadth recoupment of its $2.75 million capitalization.'

MEASURE FOR MEASURE begins performances on Monday, June 6 and officially opens on Thursday, June 30. ALL'S WELL THAT ENDS WELL begins performances on Saturday, June 11 and officially opens on Saturday, June 25. Tickets to both shows running in repertory are free and distributed the day of the performance. MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET, the smash-hit musical with productions in Chicago, New York, London, and a national tour to start this fall, announces 'Do You Have What It Takes?,' an online casting contest to find musician/singer/actors for the roles of Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, and Carl Perkins. 'Do You Have What It Takes?' will launch Tuesday, May 17 at www.MillionDollarQuartetLive.com/casting.

On May 3, Robert Britton Lyons, Million Dollar Quartet's original Carl Perkins, returned home to the Nederlander stage in the hit production. Lyons is just back from West End, where he originated the role of Perkins in Million Dollar Quartet for London audiences. Original co-star Hunter Foster rejoined the produciton on May 3, as well.

Yesterday evening, Clement took the stage of the Nederlander Theatre to join the cast of MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET in the special encore. Cowboy Jack Clement is a legendary songwriter and record producer. On the date of the 1956 Million Dollar Quartet sessions at Sun Records, Jack was the engineer. Without Cowboy Jack, Presley, Cash, Lewis & Perkin's impromptu recording session would never have been documented on tape. Cowboy Jack has worked with such legends as Johnny Cash, Dolly Parton, Ray Charles, Carl Perkins, Bobby Bare, Elvis Presley, Jim Reeves, Jerry Lee Lewis, Cliff Richard, Charley Pride, Tom Jones, Dickey Lee, Hank Snow, and Waylon Jennings.

MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET, Broadway's hit musical, is pleased to announce that Cowboy Jack Clement, will join the cast of the Tony nominated Best Musical for a special performance during the finale of the Thursday evening, April 21 performance at the Nederlander Theatre (208 West 41st Street).

Hunter Foster, who originated the role of 'Sam Phillips' in MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET on Broadway will return to the production on May 3. Robert Britton Lyons, who starred as 'Carl Perkins' in the original London cast, will also join the Broadway production.

THAT CHAMPIONSHIP SEASON'S Brian Cox & Kiefer Sutherland will appear on NY1's 'On Stage' this weekend, beginning Saturday, April 16th on channel 1. It will air multiple times over the weekend on Saturday at 9:30AM & 7:30PM; Sunday at 9:30AM & 7:30PM; Monday at 9:30PM & 12:30AM.
