Pulling together all the roots and branches of Art Garfunkel's career in music, THE SINGER is a 40-song collection of songs hand-picked by the artist himself. Spanning the years from the first Simon & Garfunkel album of 1964 (Wednesday Morning, 3AM) up through 2007's Great American Songbook album (Some Enchanted Evening), this two-CD retrospective will be available at all physical and digital retail outlets starting April 10th through Columbia/Legacy, a division of SONY MUSIC ENTERTAINMENT.

Celebra Books, a division of Penguin Group (USA), announced the acquisition of legendary film, television, and stage performer Rita Moreno's untitled memoir. Executive Editor Denise Silvestro acquired world rights to the book from Dan Strone, CEO of Trident Media Group. The book will be published in winter 2013.

Hollywood acting coach, Eric Morris, author of 7 acting text books, including No Acting Please, foreword by Jack Nicholson (a former student) will be celebrating 50 years of the Eric Morris System April 27-29 in New York City. The celebration will include a free lecture and book signing at the Drama Book Shop of his latest book, Freeing The Actor, Eric's 80th Birthday and 50 year celebration of the Eric Morris System at Southern Hospitality, and a 20 hour Weekend Workshop at Manhattan Theatre Works.

Syfy has announced additional casting for its upcoming epic science fiction drama Defiance, inking Julie Benz, Stephanie Leonidas, Tony Curran and Jaime Murray to co-star in the first-ever series to unite television and MMO gaming. The pilot, slated to commence production this April in Toronto, is directed by Scott Stewart (Legion, Priest), and written/executive produced by Rockne O'Bannon (Farscape), Kevin Murphy (Desperate Housewives, Caprica; Hellcats) & Michael Taylor (Battlestar Galactica). Kevin Murphy serves as showrunner.

Tonight Emmy Award winner Sally Struthers will star in the Alhambra's performance of Broadway's beloved and acclaimed, Hello, Dolly! Ms. Struthers, who's rise to acting fame began with the hit TV show, 'All in the Family', is making her first appearance at the Alhambra and joins a growing list of stars that has recently included Jamie Farr, Barry Williams and Loretta Switt. Hello Dolly was first produced on Broadway in 1964, winning ten Tony Awards, including Best Musical.
