BroadwayWorld Chicago is proud today to announce the winners of the third annual BroadwayWorld Chicago Awards, the only comprehensive theater award in the Chicago area voted on by fans, and the only one to honor productions in both Equity and non-Equity categories simultaneously. And you, the fans, have spoken! Prominent local companies, famous names on a national level, and some new favorites on our theater scene are winners this year.

On November 26th, BroadwayUnderstudies.com invited some of Broadway's most talented understudies to the stage of the Laurie Beechman Theatre to share their rare talent-the ability to perform at a second's notice. They were thrown into the fire in 'Half Hour 2: A Last Minute Concert,' a show where even they don't know what they'll be singing before they step up to the microphone. The audience got to vote on what song each performer will sing. Check out highlights from the concert below!

Court Theatre Artistic Director Charles Newell and Executive Director Stephen J. Albert present James Joyce's "The Dead," with book by Richard Nelson, music by Shaun Davey, lyrics conceived and adapted by Richard Nelson and Shaun Davey, and directed by Charles Newell with musical direction by Doug Peck. "The Dead" is running through December 9, 2012 at Court Theatre, 5535 S. Ellis Avenue. BroadwayWorld has a first look at highlights from the show below.

Guess?, Inc. announced the resignations of two of its executive officers, J. Michael Prince, Chief Operating Officer, and Dennis Secor, Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of the Company. Both are leaving to pursue other interests.

The producers of Broadway's ONCE are seeking one five to seven year old girl to play IVANKA, the sweet natured daughter of GIRL. Actresses should be comfortable on stage and have the ability to sing. Dominion Stage kicks off its 2012/2013 season with "Spring Awakening", winner of eight 2007 Tony Awards, including Best Musical. The musical follows a group of 19th century German students on their journey as they navigate the insecurities and the anxieties of entering young adulthood.

With almost 60 years of theater experience between them, Ben Evett and J. Michael Flynn will be co-starring in the Mark St. Germain intellectual hit Freud's Last Session, directed by Stephen Wrentmore and co-produced with the Arizona Theatre Company.
