The Harold Clurman Laboratory Theater Company has announced a limited engagement of Henry James' classic horror tale The Turn of the Screw in an adaptation by Jeffrey Hatcher. Under the direction of Don K. Williams, the production will feature Sean Spann and Emily Sulzberger playing a total of 10 roles between them. Opening is set for Saturday, September 29, at 8pm.

Miranda Theatre Company Announces Pop Up Productions

The Miranda Theatre Company, a non-profit organization dedicated to the development and production of new plays, announces Pop-Up Productions - an innovative new theatregoing experience. Debuting this fall, the new format will offer a disruption from traditional seasonal programming with a variety of limited engagement productions at venues throughout New York City. Each Pop-Up Production will be announced six weeks in advance or sooner with simultaneous online ticket sales at a set ticket price of $25 (and some at no cost at all). Audiences will be treated to a free drink and/or edible delight while experiencing an array of new work by fresh artists pushing the live performance model. As the landscape of Off-Broadway changes, Miranda takes on the industry with a fresh idea, ushering in a new age of Off-Broadway theater.

STAGE KISS is the 4th Show In Circle Theatre's 2018 Season

Circle Theatre announces the fourth show of their 2018 Season: Sarah Ruhl's, Stage Kiss. As previously announced, Circle's original fourth show (Out of the Mouth of Babes, by Israel Horovitz), was dropped after multiple, sexual misconduct allegations against the playwright. Executive Director, Tim Long, says, "We could not in good conscience produce his play. We are saddened by this development, but encouraged by the stories of these brave women." Stage Kiss will run from August 16 through September 15, 2018.

Theatre UCF Replaces Play by Israel Horovitz After Sexual Misconduct Allegations

Theatre UCF is replacing the previously scheduled play The Day Before Yesterday with Rebecca Gilman's Boy Gets Girl to run Feb. 22-March 4. The decision to change the play was made after the writer of The Day Before Yesterday, Israel Horovitz, was accused by nine women of sexual misconduct. Horovitz had been scheduled to attend UCF's performance.

Jobsite Theater is cancelling the scheduled production of Israel Horovitz' new play Man in Snow in light of a report in today's The New York Times, bringing to an end a collaboration with the playwright that dates back to 2014.
