Pacific Symphony to Present Saint-Saëns' ORGAN SYMPHONY, 5/2-4

The mighty forces of the William J. Gillespie concert organ pair with fleeting violin passages and an orchestral rhapsody during Pacific Symphony's next classical concert, 'Saint-Saens' Organ Symphony,' featuring music by the French Romantics. The program opens with Emmanuel Chabrier's 'España,' the composer's most famous orchestral composition, inspired by Spanish music and dances. Taking place Thursday through Saturday, May 2-4 at 8 p.m. in the Renee and Henry Segerstrom Concert Hall.

KIMBERLY AKIMBO to Open 4/12 at The Country Playhouse

The Country Playhouse will pre­sent Kimberly Akimbo by David Lindsay-Abaire in its Black Box venue for three weekends only, April 12 - 27. Performances are on Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00 p.m., with a Sunday matinee on April 21 at 2:00 p.m., plus a weeknight show on Thursday, April 25, at 7:30 p.m.

KIMBERLY AKIMBO Opens 4/12 at Country Playhouse

The Country Playhouse will present Kimberly Akimbo by David Lindsay-Abaire in its Black Box venue for three weekends only, April 12 - 27. Sometimes they're amazing. Sometimes they're in-between. Luckily, Leighza Walker's first full-length play, FISHING, is an enjoyable and fascinating exploration of loyalty, fidelity, love, and life.

Leaving the audience awe-struck with surprise and delight at his sheer virtuosity two seasons ago when he filled in at the last-minute for Yuja Wang, Chinese-American pianist Conrad Tao, now 18, returns to Pacific Symphony to play Grieg's impassioned and demanding Piano Concerto. Already toting an impressive career as an international soloist, Tao is also an award-winning violinist, accomplished composer and scholar, currently attending the Columbia University/Julliard School joint degree program.
