Rejoice, rock 'n' rollers: San Francisco's Flamin' Groovies are returning with Fantastic Plastic, an all-new album of high-energy, pop-inflected original songs that bring together the band's prime movers of the '70s, singers-guitarists-songwriters Cyril Jordan and Chris Wilson for the first time in 38 years.

By popular demand Steppenwolf's LookOut Series extends its rock 'n' roll production of the solo play, How To Be A Rock Critic (Based on the Writings of Lester Bangs) by award-winning theatre artists Jessica Blank and Erik Jensen, starring Erik Jensen (The Walking Dead, Mr. Robot) as Lester Bangs and directed by Jessica Blank (Made in Jersey, The Namesake). Described as "a fascinating window into one of the last century's most compelling and fearless critics," (Chicago Tribune), the 80-minute production continues for three additional performances through July 29, 2017 in the 1700 Theatre, situated behind Front Bar: Coffee & Drinks (drinks permitted in the theater).

Moon Hooch have announced Fall 2017 tour dates. The 18-show headline run will make stops throughout the Midwest and Rocky Mountains, including their biggest performances yet in Chicago, Minneapolis and Denver. The Brooklyn-based double sax and drums trio, who Brooklyn Vegan declared 'bring the party to wherever they play,' conclude the trek in the Southeast with two nights in Atlanta and Jacksonville.
