Academy Award nominee and Tony and Golden Globe Award winner Hugh Jackman brought his critically acclaimed one-man show from Broadway to Los Angeles' Dolby Theatre for a performance benefitting MPTF (Motion Picture & Television Fund), Saturday, October 12th. Springs Ensemble Theatre ('SET') closes out its mainstage season with Keith Huff's stunningly brutal drama, A STEADY RAIN, opening October 10th and running through October 27th. Best friends since kindergarten, Denny and Joey now patrol the streets of Chicago as police officers. But a life spent dealing with drug dealers, pimps and prostitutes takes its toll. After one bad decision while on patrol one night, short-tempered Denny and recovering alcoholic Joey find themselves fighting for not only their friendship, but for their very souls. A dark duologue, A STEADY RAIN is a no-holds-barred look at friendship, family, and how far a man will go to protect them both.

Academy Award nominee and Tony and Golden Globe Award winner Hugh Jackman brings his critically acclaimed one-man show from Broadway to Los Angeles for a one night only performance benefitting MPTF (Motion Picture & Television Fund). Hugh Jackman...One Night Only will take place tonight, October 12, 2013, at The Dolby Theatre, marking his first time performing in Southern California. The One Night Only event is co-chaired by Jim Gianopulos, Chairman and CEO, 20th Century Fox, and his wife Ann, longtime supporters of MPTF.

Performance Network Theatre invites audiences to join Associate Artistic Director Carla Milarch and the star of "An Iliad" John Manfredi in the Backstage Cafe for an intimate interview about Manfredi's triumphant challenge as the star of a one-man-show on October 20, 2013 immediately following the Sunday matinee performance of "An Iliad" (approximately 3:30pm). Tickets are $10 and $5 for students and seniors and can be purchased online at performancenetwork.org or by calling 734-663-0681. Admission includes a cup of complimentary coffee from Mighty Good Cafe to sip during the discussion.

Happy Birthday Hugh Jackman! Jackman was recently seen in the role of Jean Valjean in the Les Miserables film. Jackman is also working on Broadway's Harry Houdini, set for the stage in 2014. He has also appeared on the Great White Way in Hugh Jackman, Back on Broadway, A Steady Rain and The Boy From Oz.
