Today we are talking to one of the biggest stars to break out of Broadway and make a major mark on the music scene in recent years thanks to her hit album HUNTER and an ever-expanding series of incredibly impressive viral music videos, the soulful and passionate Morgan James. Discussing the impetus behind many of the selections on HUNTER as well as sharing stories of how the album all came together, James generously details the process in creating her first album of original material while looking ahead to this week's live concert event at the Highline Ballroom which will showcase many of the standouts from the album as well as some special surprises. Furthermore, James opens up about her growing series of music videos covering many classic pop and R&B songs, both vintage and brand new, as well as the worldwide acclaim she has received for them - enough to inspire a recent European tour with innovative music collective Postmodern Jukebox, as matter of fact. Plus, James gives the 411 on her theatre background and Juilliard training while also reflecting on some of her Broadway appearances in musicals such as MOTOWN, GODSPELL, THE ADDAMS FAMILY and WONDERLAND while also commenting on some dream roles she would ideally enjoy pursuing in the future, near and far. Just as it did last week, tonight's AMERICAN IDOL featured the Top-8 finalists. After an ill-advised use of the sole judge's save, Sam Woolf remained in the competition long enough to be mentored by former IDOL champ David Cook for this week's 80's theme. With the obvious negligence of 'full-time' mentor Randy Jackson, it is staggering to see how much progress can be made with a mentor who is actively engaged in helping the finalists become better singers, performers, and artists.

Paper Mill Playhouse presents Ballroom with a Twist 2. Get your fill of Dancing with the Stars, American Idol, and So You Think You Can Dance live onstage at Paper Mill Playhouse. Ballroom with a Twist 2--will offer two performances at the Millburn theater Saturday, May 10, at 8:00pm and Sunday, May 11, at 2:00pm. Celebrity dancers include: Chelsie Hightower, Dmitry Chaplin, Anna Trebunskaya, Gleb Savchenko, Legacy, Oksana Dymetrenko, Jonathan Platero and Randi Lynn Strong. IDOL's Casey Abrams to Sing Nat'l Anthem at Mets Citi Field

Season 10 AMERICAN IDOL contestant Casey Abrams will be performing the National Anthem at tonight's home Mets game at Citifield. The singer will release his debut CD, which includes a duet with co-contestant Haley Reinhart, on June 26th.
