IMAX Corporation (NYSE: IMAX; TSX:IMX) today announced that Peter Jackson 's The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey grossed $15.1 million in 452 IMAX theatres worldwide, which is an all-time best performance for an IMAX film in December. The Warner Bros. Pictures film, a production of New Line Cinema and Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, grossed $10.1 million in 326 domestic IMAX theatres.

PACIFIC RIM will arrive in theaters on July 12, 2013. The thriller is directed by Guillermo Del Toro and stars Idris Elba, Charlie Hunnam, Rinko Kikuchi, Charlie Day and Diego Klattenhoff. Watch the first official trailer below!

IMAX Corporation (NYSE: IMAX; TSX: IMX) today announced that Peter Jackson's The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, a production of New Line Cinema and Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Pictures (MGM), the first of a trilogy of films adapting the enduringly popular masterpiece The Hobbit, by J.R.R. Tolkien, will be digitally re-mastered into the immersive IMAX® 3D format. The film will be released in IMAX® internationally starting Dec. 12 and domestically beginning Dec. 14.

Sony Music is proud to announce the release of Danny Elfman's Original Motion Picture Soundtrack recording of HITCHCOCK on December 4, 2012. The film is a love story about one of the most influential filmmakers of the last century, Alfred Hitchcock, and his wife and partner Alma Reville. DreamWorks Animation SKG, Inc. today announced that acclaimed soprano Renee Fleming has performed the original song 'Still Dream' on the soundtrack for the upcoming Rise of the Guardians, which also features a score by Four-Time Academy Award nominated and Grammy Award winning composer Alexandre Desplat. Varese Sarabande will release the soundtrack on November 13, preceding the film's nationwide release on November 21.
