Washington Ensemble Theatre has announced its 2018/19 Season, a dynamic lineup of three plays that celebrates its 15th anniversary as a producing theatre company in Seattle. The season, which is themed 'More, More, More!' in honor of the company's continued growth and consistent artistic boundary-pushing, includes the fantastical dark comedy Everything You Touch by Sheila Callaghan, political thriller B by Chilean playwright Guillermo Calderon, and the twisted horror-comedy Feathers and Teeth by Charise Castro Smith. In addition to these three mainstage productions, WET is pleased to announce a new addition to its programming, GUSH, a series that will bring a piece of contemporary theatrical work from outside Seattle to be performed on its stage each season. The first piece to be presented as part of GUSH is SINGLET, Erin Markey's tenacious look at earned intimacy and how rivalry, affection, and power intersect. Haven Theatre is pleased to announce its 2018-19 Season, kicking off this fall with its fourth consecutive DIRECTOR'S HAVEN, three short plays showcasing the talents of early career directors. Helming this year's productions are Charlotte Drover, Anna Sung-En Medill and Dani Wieder.

As political theatre goes, Guillermo Calder n's KISS, Stray Cat Theatre's 16th Season opener, directed by Ron May, occupies the terrain between parody and reality, melodrama and documentary, laughter and catharsis. It is a play that works on a number of levels: startling an audience out of its comfort zone, engaging it in the shared discovery of uncomfortable and inconvenient truths, revealing the barriers that must be surmounted to achieve cross-cultural understanding. KISS runs through September 30th at Tempe Center for the Arts.
