Producers Howard and Janet Kagan present Dave Malloy's groundbreaking electropop opera NATASHA, PIERRE & THE GREAT COMET OF 1812 at Kazino (West 13th Street and Washington Street). Kazino is a brand new venue created specifically for the show, in the heart of New York's meatpacking district, to transport audiences to a Russian supper club, complete with an authentic Russian menu and bar. Winner of the 2012 Fred Ebb Award, musical theatre composer/lyricist Sam Willmott will showcase his work with The Songs of Sam Willmott at the York Theatre tonight, April 8th at 6:30 PM. Presented by the Fred Ebb Foundation in association with the York Theatre Company, the free concert event will feature Tony nominee Tony Sheldon (Priscilla: Queen of the Desert) with Etai BenShlomo (Wicked), Griffin Birney (Fun Home), Alyse Alan Louis (Mamma Mia!), Grace McLean (The Last Goodbye), Matthew Schechter (Mary Poppins), and Sam Teldaldi (Fantasy Football: The Musical). The band includes Gregg Monteith and Peter Sachon. Sam Pinkleton directs with musical direction by Matt Aument. Rachel Sussman produces.

According to the New York Times, the show might aim for a bigger stage next season- Broadway. Producer Howard Kagan told the New York Times that he is looking into bringing the experience to a Broadway theatre by 'putting a giant platform of tables, banquettes and performing space over the orchestra seats.'

Directed by Joseph Hendel and featuring a live band under the musical direction of Kris Kukul, Shaving features a cast of 7.

The Most Christmassy Christmas Morning, a Christmas Benefit with tunes by Sam Salmond, Jenny Stafford, Alana Jacoby, will be presented on Wednesday, December 19 at The Laurie Beechman Theatre. Show time is 9:30pm. All proceeds will go to TOYS FOR TOTS.
