The Actors Fund has announced that their annual gala has raised over 1.2 million dollars for the entertainment and performing arts community.

The Actors Fund recognized its 2016 Medal of Honor recipients at its annual gala, last night, April 25, 2016 (6pm) at the Marriott Marquis. Honorees included actor and producer Michael Douglas, producer and singer/songwriter Emilio and Gloria Estefan, NBC Entertainment Chairman Robert Greenblatt, American prima ballerina Cynthia Gregory, and director and choreographer Casey Nicholaw. BET Networks has announced the new programming that's heading to its network of stations which includes BET and Centric.

The power couple stopped by NBC's TODAY to talk about ON YOUR FEET!, the Broadway show that tells the story of their lives and careers, and the new original cast recording of the musical.

The new shows were deployed onboard the vessels of Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings, Ltd., including Oceania Cruises in the Spring of 2016.

NBC is assembling an all-star team of Broadway's finest and most talented creatives for its upcoming production of 'Hairspray Live!,' the network's latest stage musical following the phenomenal success of 'The Wiz Live!' On Monday, April 4, the Theater People podcast welcomes ON YOUR FEET star Andrea Burns. Burns made her professional New York debut in Jason Robert Brown's groundbreaking 1995 musical SONGS FOR A NEW WORLD. She then made her Broadway debut in 1996 as a replacement in the role of Belle in BEAUTY AND THE BEAST and went on to co-star in the Broadway productions of THE FULL MONTY and THE RITZ.
