The Broadway at Birdland concert series was thrilled to present 'A Sophisticated Reunion' on Monday, May 23. The one-night-only event starred Terri Klausner, Valarie Pettiford and Ty Stephens, who met in Sophisticated Ladies, a Broadway musical review based on the music of Duke Ellington, which opened in March of 1981.

Producers Paul Blake and Sony/ATV Music Publishing announced today that Beautiful-The Carole King Musical, the smash hit musical about the early life and career of the legendary and groundbreaking singer/songwriter, will launch a new digital lottery ticket policy beginning tomorrow, March 22. A limited number of tickets will be available for $39.00 the day of the performance via the digital lottery, powered by Broadway Direct.

Producers Paul Blake and Sony/ATV Music Publishing announced today that Ben Jacoby, previously seen in the US Tour of Phantom of the Opera, will step into the role of 'Barry Mann' in Beautiful - The Carole King Musical, beginning the week of February 29, 2016. Jacoby will take over for Tony Award nominee Jarrod Spector, whose last performance is scheduled for Sunday, February 28, 2016. Beautiful - The Carole King Musical plays at the Stephen Sondheim Theatre (124 West 43rd Street).

BroadwayWorld is excited to report that the first national tour of BEAUTIFUL - The Carole King Musical, the smash hit musical about the early life and career of the legendary and groundbreaking singer/songwriter, has recouped in just four months on the road. The Broadway production of BEAUTIFUL, which opened on Broadway on January 12, 2014, celebrates two years tonight at the Stephen Sondheim Theatre (124 West 43rd Street).

Producer Jacob Langfelder along with Diego Kolankowsky (Spring Awakening), AltaNeve wines and Marie Assante hosted a New Year's to remember at a luxe, two-story loft overlooking the Central Park fireworks. Guests were entertained to the early morning by performances from Tori Scott (Time Out Top 10 Cabaret Performers), Varsity Interpretive Dance Squad and Australian recording artist Brendan Maclean (Universal Music Group, Baz Luhrman's GREAT GATSBY, and VELVET). The evening benefits Other Voices¹ winter workshop with the students of PS347 The American Sign Language and English Lower School. Featuring cast members from Spring Awakening, Beautiful, Amazing Grace, Cabaret and more singing holiday classics and leading a holiday sing/sign ­along. The benefit will be held at 42West located at 512 West 42nd Street between 10th and 11th avenues tonight, December 17th, 2015.
