Lisa Rubin, Artistic and Executive Director, and Paul Flicker, Artistic Producer, today announced the Segal Centre for Performing Arts' 2014-2015 Theatre Season, an ambitious seven-play offering brimming with incredible talent that will dazzle with new takes on beloved stories and premiere musicals.

Chicago's legendary comedy theatre, The Second City, presents Happily Ever Laughter, a hilarious revue featuring some of the best sketches, songs, and improvisation from its 53-year history. Drawing on classic material from The Second City archives as well as scenes ripped from the morning headlines, The Second City's Happily Ever Laughter is your chance to see comedy stars in the making in an evening of smart, cutting-edge comedy.

The God Box: A Daughter's Story, performed by acclaimed author Mary Lou Quinlan based on her bestselling book, will play the Cherry Lane Theater (38 Commerce Street) on Monday March 3rd at 7PM as a benefit performance for Gilda's Club NYC. Based on Mary Lou Quinlan's New York Times' bestselling book, The God Box, Sharing my mother's gift of faith, love and letting go, the performance explores the laughter and tears of a family in love, in loss, and in triumph. Quinlan is donating 100% of the night's proceeds to Gilda's Club NYC, the free cancer support program founded in memory of comedian Gilda Radner, who died of ovarian cancer in 1989. The God Box: A Daughter's Story is co-written and directed by Martha Wollner of the LAByrinth Theater Company.

Comedienne Gilda Radner became one of the most idolized comic figures of the 70s as well as a popular tragic heroine of the 80s as she lost her battle with Ovarian cancer. Possessing an edgy brilliance that defied description, she lived passionately for every moment and won the hearts of millions. Writer Alan Zweibel, who was one of Gilda's closest friends - he created Roseanne Roseannadanna - from the beginning of her professional career to her death in 1989, penned Bunny Bunny to keep Gilda's memory alive...how lucky for us as we witness a triple threat production now onstage at the Falcon Theatre: great writing, vibrant direction from Dimitri Toscas and superb acting by a trio of artists who evoke and maintain a visceral energy that is every bit as remarkable and palpable as Gilda herself (Erin Pineda).

Building on critical acclaim for her one woman show, writer/performer Ann Randolph (Squeeze Box) will join the 2013/14 Kogod Cradle Series at Arena Stage at the Mead Center for American Theater in a special extended presentation of her latest American comedy Loveland, an 'unforgettable, over-the-top comedy that forces people to think' (The Huffington Post). Following each performance, Randolph will guide audience participants through a mini writing workshop to explore the transformative and healing power of expressed personal grief. The combined performance and post-show experience will mark the launch of Randolph's national Good Grief Tour, an interactive experience that aims to spark a national discourse on grief with audiences around the country. Loveland, directed by Joshua Townshend, runs March 18-April 13, 2014 in the Arlene and Robert Kogod Cradle.

Hubbard Street Artistic Director Glenn Edgerton and Kelly Leonard, Executive Vice President of The Second City, Inc. are delighted to announce a collaboratively devised production by the two performing arts organizations, to receive its world premiere October 16-19, 2014, kicking off Hubbard Street's 2014-15 season at the Harris Theater for Music and Dance in Millennium Park.

Earlier this month, BroadwayWorld uncovered a vintage video featuring Broadway legend Patti LuPone in 'Love Cycle: A Soap Operetta', a 'mini-musical' made for PBS in 1984 which was never broadcast. The mini-musical also featured a full cast of up-and-coming stars of the 1980's, including: Walter Bobbie, Lonny Price, Martin Vidnovic, Priscilla Lopez and Ellen Foley. Falcon Theatre will present Bunny Bunny - Gilda Radner: A Sort of Romantic Comedy, written by Alan Zweibel, directed by Dimitri Toscas,the fourth production of the Falcon Theatre's 2013-2014 Subscription Season. Bunny Bunny features Brendan Hunt as 'Alan', Erin Pineda as 'Gilda' and Tom Fonss as 'Everyone Else', an ensemble of lively characters.

The Second City's 'A Christmas Carol: Twist Your Dickens!' opened on Thursday, December 12 at 8 p.m. at the Center Theatre Group/ Kirk Douglas Theatre. Written by Second City alumni Peter Gwinn and Bobby Mort and directed by fellow Second City alum Marc Warzecha, 'A Christmas Carol: Twist Your Dickens!' continues through December 29, 2013. Actress Rebecca Ann Johnson recently played Elizabeth in MTW's Young Frankenstein and will play in Little Miss Scrooge at the Rubicon in Ventura for one week only beginning December 18.

Casting has been announced for The Second City's 'A Christmas Carol: Twist Your Dickens!' which begins previews tonight, December 8 at the Center Theatre Group/Kirk Douglas Theatre in Culver City. Opening night is December 12 and performances run through December 29, 2013.

In an attempt to prove that Washington, D.C. isn't the only town that rewards malfeasance, Center Theatre Group is celebrating Los Angelenos' wrong-doings and missteps by asking all residents to search their consciences for the worst things that they have ever done, and submit said misdeeds now through December 23 to win a package of prizes. The holiday prize pack includes two tickets to see The Second City's "A Christmas Carol: Twist Your Dickens!" at the Kirk Douglas Theatre, a gift certificate to the local restaurant Ugo Culver City and all the Tiny Timtinis and Scrooge Drivers you can drink **.
