As BroadwayWorld previously reported, Guy Ritchie will be helming a live-action re-imagining of Disney's Aladdin. The project marks the latest in a string of upcoming live-action reboots of Disney classics, including BEAUTY AND THE BEAST, in theaters March 17th, MARY POPPINS RETURNS, out Christmas Day, 2018, MULAN and THE LION KING.

To honor the 25th anniversary of Disney's 1992 ALADDIN, the Tribeca Film Festival has announced that Brad Kane, the singing voice behind the title character, will host a sing-along prior to the screening of the animated musical classic.

Carolines on Broadway, New York City's premier comedy venue, presents its talented line-up for the month of March, highlighted by headliners Erik Griffin, from Comedy Central's Workaholics,March 2 - 5; Gilbert Gottfried, from the film The Aristocrats, one night only,March 9; Vir Das, from his live stand-up show "Unbelievablish," March 10 - 12;Christopher Titus, headlining his 'Born with a Defect Tour,' March 16 - 18;Nikki Glaser, from her Comedy Central stand-up special "Perfect," March 23 - 26; and Big Jay Oakerson, host of SiriusXM Radio's The Bonfire, March 29 and 30.

Broadway came out last night for the Fifth Annual Paul Rudd All-Star Bowling Benefit to support SAY: The Stuttering Association for the Young. One of comedian Christine O'Leary's first gigs in Ridgefield was when Adam Broderick hired her to perform at his staff holiday party. To get material, she went undercover at both of his salons, posing as a new employee who was sent to 'shadow the staff to gain experience.' Weeks later, she shocked everyone when she took center stage at their holiday party, grabbed the microphone, and began a litany of dead-on impressions and inside jokes that made everyone howl with laughter.

Still witty, smart and funny at 95 years of age, the legendary comic Marty Allen was hosted (not roasted) at a Friars Club lunch.  Emmy Award winning Friar Bill Boggs interviewed Marty about his long career in show business.  Marty worked as an opening act for stars such as Sarah Vaughan, Eydie Gorme and Nat King Cole gained enormous fame when he teamed up with singer Steve Rossi and made 44 appearances on The Ed Sullivan Show.  In 1961 and 1962 Allen appeared on Broadway in Let It Ride! at the Eugene O'Neill Theatre and then went on to perform in the pre-Broadway tour and Broadway performances of I Had A Ball.
