As BroadwayWorld previously reported, Guy Ritchie will be helming a live-action re-imagining of Disney's Aladdin. The project marks the latest in a string of upcoming live-action reboots of Disney classics, including BEAUTY AND THE BEAST, in theaters March 17th, MARY POPPINS RETURNS, out Christmas Day, 2018, MULAN and THE LION KING.

Broadway came out last night for the Fifth Annual Paul Rudd All-Star Bowling Benefit to support SAY: The Stuttering Association for the Young. Jake Ehrenreich will open in A Jew Grows in Brooklyn 2.0 at the Mizner Park Cultural Arts Center on February 2nd. But prior to that opening, he'll visit the Miami Jewish Film festival as a special guest speaker to discuss his participation in the recent film, The Last Laugh, cinematographer Ferne Pearlstein's fascinating look at the importance of laughter under even the most dire of circumstances.

One of comedian Christine O'Leary's first gigs in Ridgefield was when Adam Broderick hired her to perform at his staff holiday party. To get material, she went undercover at both of his salons, posing as a new employee who was sent to 'shadow the staff to gain experience.' Weeks later, she shocked everyone when she took center stage at their holiday party, grabbed the microphone, and began a litany of dead-on impressions and inside jokes that made everyone howl with laughter.

Still witty, smart and funny at 95 years of age, the legendary comic Marty Allen was hosted (not roasted) at a Friars Club lunch. Emmy Award winning Friar Bill Boggs interviewed Marty about his long career in show business. Marty worked as an opening act for stars such as Sarah Vaughan, Eydie Gorme and Nat King Cole gained enormous fame when he teamed up with singer Steve Rossi and made 44 appearances on The Ed Sullivan Show. In 1961 and 1962 Allen appeared on Broadway in Let It Ride! at the Eugene O'Neill Theatre and then went on to perform in the pre-Broadway tour and Broadway performances of I Had A Ball.
