Second Stage Theatre (Carole Rothman, Artistic Director) has announced the two plays which will be presented as part of the company's eighth annual Second Stage Theatre Uptown Series this summer: the New York premiere of Michael Golamco's Year Zero, directed by Will Frears, and the world premiere of Leslye Headland's Bachelorette, directed by Trip Cullman.

As previously reported, The George Street Playhouse has cancelled their upcoming run of the play FOX ON THE FAIRWAY and has replaced it with A.R. Gurney's SYLVIA. Due to conflicting schedules, Ken Ludwig's FOX ON THE FAIRWAY has been moved to the 2010-2011 season. SYLVIA will be directed by David Saint and will run March 30th, 2010 through April 25th, 2010.

PURE Theatre is proud to announce the world premiere of Lowcountry Boil written and directed by Charleston's own R.W. Smith, and will feature Jennie Pringle, R.W. Smith, David Mandel, Kevin Curler, Robbie Thomas, Will Hodges, Katie Huard, Brian DeCosta, and Randy Risher. Lowcountry Boil opens Friday, March 5 and runs through the 27th.

Executive Producer Lou Spisto today announced the cast and creative team for the World Premiere of Kenny Finkle's romantic comedy, Alive and Well. Directed by Jeremy Dobrish, Alive and Well will run in the Sheryl and Harvey White Theatre March 20 - April 25. Previews run from March 20 - March 24.

Playwrights Theatre is pleased to present the New Jersey Premiere of Mahida's Extra Key To Heaven by Russell Davis. It will preview on April 22 and run for three weeks through May 9, 2010 (Press Opening: Friday, April 23 at 8:00pm). The production will be directed by John Pietrowski and features Mariam Habib*, Jack Moran*, Jane Blass* and Ryan Shams*. Single tickets are on sale now for $15. Sh-K-Boom/Ghostlight Records presents the songwriting team of Jeremy Desmon and Vadim Feichtner in an evening of Desmon & Feichtner Continue To Disappoint Their Parents, at Joe's Pub on Monday, March 22 at 9:30p.m., a raucous concert brimming with original songs of love and dysfunction.

Rattlestick Playwrights Theater will end its world premiere run of Blind, by Craig Wright (The Pavilion, Lady) on March 21st. The production is directed by Lucie Tiberghein (The Pavilion, Geometry of Fire).

Autumn Hurlbert, Lori Prince, and Michael Puzzo are set to star in Killing Women, by Marisa Wegrzyn and presented by kef productions. The production runs at the Beckett Theatre May 13- June 5 and will be directed by Adam Fitzgerald. Additional casting is yet to be announced.

Producer Daryl Roth announced today that Judy Gold, Melissa Joan Hart, Shirley Knight and Doris Roberts have signed on to lend their talents to Nora Ephron and Delia Ephron's smash-hit Off Broadway show, Love, Loss, and What I Wore, which has been playing to sold-out houses at the Westside Theatre (407 W 43rd Street). Judy Gold, Melissa Joan Hart and Shirley Knight will join the April cast (March 31 - April 25), and Doris Roberts will join the cast beginning April 28 (through May 23).

Theater Breaking Through Barriers, the critically acclaimed Off-Broadway company known for its productions that integrate able-bodied actors with artists with disabilities, presents the world premiere of Kate Moira Ryan's BASS FOR PICASSO -- a new play about five New Yorkers, including a physically disabled food writer for The New York Times, whose secrets are exposed during a memorable dinner party -- with previews to begin April 17 prior to its official press opening May 2 at Theatre Row's Kirk Theatre (410 West 42nd Street). Stacy Shane and ManUnderdog Productions have optioned the new play, 'The Sex King' by Bill C. Davis ('Mass Appeal'). The production is planned for next season and a reading will be held in the spring.

Asolo Rep announces additional casting for award-winning Managing Maxine, Janece Shaffer's new play that takes a straight forward look at sex, love and life after 70. The cast features Howard Elfman as Louis, the role he originated last season in the world premiere of Managing Maxine at the Alliance Theatre in Atlanta.
