The Hollywood Bowl officially launched its 91st season with the 13TH Annual Hollywood Bowl Hall of Fame and Opening Night Concert, last night, Friday, June 22, at 8 pm, which for the first time honored all women artists.

In response to a failed attempt to prevent ABC from airing THE GLASS HOUSE, a reality show which CBS claimed was a direct rip-off of 'Big Brother', the CBS network today issued a 'Press Release' about a new reality show they have dubbed 'Dancing On The Stars.' Fox News reports that comic actor Victor Spinetti, who appeared in three Beatles movies and won a Tony on Broadway, died this morning after losing a long battle with cancer. The news was revealed by the actor's agent and close friend Barry Burnett. Spinetti was 82.

B. King, Quincy Jones, David Geffen, Mickey Hart, Harry Belafonte and many others. All types of popular music are represented-from rock 'n' roll, jazz, rhythm & blues and pop to big-band, heavy metal, folk and country-western.

Center Theatre Group/Ahmanson Theatre just announced their 2012-13 season, which is set to include BACKBEAT. The birth of one of the greatest rock 'n' roll bands in history is told in the new dramatic musical "Backbeat," which will have its American premiere and pre-Broadway presentation at the Ahmanson Theatre, January 16 through February 24, 2013. The opening is set for January 23.
