Can a parent love a child just for him or herself alone? Ensemble Studio Theatre/LA will present the West Coast premiere of a darkly comic, yet poignant new play about childhood in America. Inspired by the unsolved murder of six-year old JonBenét Ramsey, House of Gold by Gregory Moss opens on October 22 at Atwater Village Theatre, with low-priced previews beginning October 15.

Accomplished stage/television actor and star of the recent National Tour of 'Say Goodnight Gracie,' Joel Rooks will reprise his critically acclaimed role of the lovable George Burns in 'Say Goodnight Gracie,' The Life, Laughter & Love of George Burns and Gracie Allen when the show returns to the New York stage on Friday, October 14th (2PM) at Off Broadway's St. Luke's Playhouse (308 West 46th Street).

The Marriott Theatre in Lincolnshire, Illinois, north of Chicago, has an enormous subscription base, deep pockets, a talented and experienced in-house design team and a film property to adapt that touches on a number of important, stage-worthy themes (military patriotism, family, nostalgia, a timely re-visit to accusations of communism in America, parenthood, mid-century entertainment history and censorship, both military and network). And the show's lawyers have acquired the rights to a Hit Parade of jukebox-musical-worthy tunes. But is that enough to make a new stage musical out of the 1991 film 'For The Boys'?
