The National Theatre production of The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time is on Broadway at the Barrymore Theatre, currently in previews. CBS reports that their new drama series MADAM SECRETARY was the most-watched scripted show of the night with 12.66 million viewers, while averaging 2.3/06 in adults 25-54 and 1.4/04 in adults 18-49.

I hope you will join me each week to compare notes, share critiques, high-five our agreements, and civilly discuss our disagreements. I have been excited for this show to launch and am extremely happy and grateful to BWW for giving me the opportunity to recap and review it each week. I feel the political drama has been contorted a little bit into the soapy waters of serial television lately, and really have been hoping to get back to some great writing, topical discussions, and fine acting, a la THE WEST WING. Truthfully, watching the first episode, I have high hopes that we are on our way with maybe one or two disappointments.

Theatre Works celebrates its 40th anniversary in 2014-15 with a season of ten radio-theater productions, each recorded by a star-studded cast in front of a live audience for future radio broadcast, distribution on CD, digital download and online streaming. All performances take place at the 300-seat, acoustically vibrant James Bridges Theater located on the campus of UCLA in West Los Angeles. CBS announced its 2014-15 programming slate this morning. Among the network's new series is Barbara Hall and Morgan Freeman's political drama MADAM SECRETARY starring Broadway's Patina Miller and Bebe Neuwirth.
