CBS News Radio today will unveil a new slate of original news, finance and entertainment programming at its first ever upfront presentation to advertising executives, at the famed CBS Broadcast Center in New York City.

Emmy-award winning CBS News correspondent Jeff Glor has been named anchor of the CBS EVENING NEWS WITH JEFF GLOR, the network's flagship evening news broadcast, it was announced today by CBS News President David Rhodes.

CBS THIS MORNING was the only broadcast morning news program to post year-to-year gains in viewers, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for the week ending Oct. 6. Television season-to-date, CBS THIS MORNING is also the only broadcast network morning program to grow in viewers.

CBS THIS MORNING delivered CBS' closest competitive position to NBC and ABC in the morning news race in at least 29 years, according to Nielsen most current ratings for the 2016-2017 broadcast year.

In a heavy news week, CBS THIS MORNING posted the largest year-to-year gain in viewers for a network morning news broadcast, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for the week ending Sept. 8, 2017.

Hand in Hand: A Benefit for Hurricane Relief today announced additional celebrity participants and corporate partners. The one-hour special, which will benefit those affected by Hurricanes Harvey and Irma, will air live and commercial free on TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 12, at 8:00 p.m. EDT/7:00 p.m. CDT and re-air at 8:00 p.m. PDT on the West Coast.

The live special will also include musical performances by Kelly Clarkson, Jordan Fisher and Hunter Hayes. Dance star and social media influencer Dytto, and actor Jorge Diaz will host a pre-show that will stream live on Facebook, Twitter and YouTube starting at 3:30 PM PT/6:30 PM ET.
