The 16th Annual Broadway Barks took place yesterday, July 12, in Shubert Alley. Founded by Mary Tyler Moore and Bernadette Peters, this star-studded dog and cat adoption event featured celebrities from the hottest shows on Broadway to benefit New York City animal shelters and adoption agencies.

BROADWAY BARKS announces their 16th annual star-studded dog and cat adoption event featuring celebrities from the hottest shows on Broadway to benefit New York City animal shelters and adoption agencies. Founded by Mary Tyler Moore and Bernadette Peters, the event, produced by Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS will take place on Saturday, July 12 in Shubert Alley (located between 44th and 45th Streets, between Broadway and Eighth Avenue). The festivities begin at 3:00 p.m. where you can meet all the adoptable dogs and cats; celebrity presentations of pets from animal shelters citywide will take place between 5-6:30 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.

New York Theatre Workshop (NYTW)'s 2014 Spring Gala honored Tony Award-winning director Des McAnuff and President of The Dodgers Michael David on Monday night, May 12, at The Grand Ballroom of The Plaza Hotel. Both are founding partners of Dodger Properties, which is responsible for over 150 productions of some of the most successful theatre on Broadway (56 Tony Awards), Off-Broadway and internationally. Today, March 4, Matt Harrington joins the cast of Matilda. He will be playing the role of Mr. Wormwood, Matilda's father, and replacing Gabriel Ebert. Harrington recently appeared in Broadway's Twelfth Night and Richard III, which transferred from the Shakespeare's Globe in 2013.

Producers of the Tony Award-winning MATILDA THE MUSICAL announced today that Matt Harrington and Christopher Sieber will join the company as Mr. Wormwood and Miss Trunchbull, respectively.
