Amas Musical Theatre and The Amas Musical Theatre Lab will present staged readings of The Ten Minute Hamlet, a contemporary comedy by Sharon Talbott. Directed by Christopher Scott, the readings will be held on Monday, December 14th at 6pm and Tuesday, December 15th at 3pm & 7pm at Ripley Greer Studios (989 Eighth Avenue - between 55th & 56th Streets).

The inaugural BROADWAY'S GOT GUTS event was a spectacular evening of wonderful entertainment by Broadway's brightest singing the wonderful standards and hits sung by the late, great Nancy LaMott with proceeds supporting the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation of America's on November 2, 2015 at the Friars Club. Music at the Mansion Features Multi Award Winning Recording Artist, Sterns Mathews NiCori Studios and Productions in association with the Oakeside Bloomfield Cultural Center announces a new installment of the monthly concert series, Music at the Mansion, on Sunday, November 29, at 3pm. Performers include Randie Levine-Miller, Frank Dain and Stearns Matthews.

The Friars Club became spooky today as the Monks (Friars wait staff) served Little Friars, their parents and grandparents many treats. Most kids will not get bagels & lox, blintzes, hamburgers, french fries, and ice cream when they go out trick or treating but these lucky youngsters did in clubs The Frank Sinatra Dining Magician John Pizza then entertained everyone with his tricks in the Milton Berle Room. More stars have joined BROADWAY'S GOT GUTS to celebrate the memory of Nancy LaMott on the 20th anniversary of her death to benefit the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of America on Monday, November 2, 2015 at 6 PM at the Friars Club, 57 East 55th Street, New York City.

Returning for his 56th consecutive year as a Las Vegas headliner, internationally distinguished comedian, actor and entertainer Don Rickles will perform at The Orleans Showroom, this weekend, Oct. 17 and 18.

For almost half a century, the Friars Club Sunshine Committee has been dedicated to bringing Friarly Sunshine into the lives of those in need, bringing laughs to children and the elderly in hospitals and nursing homes, and at the annual Christmas/Chanukah spectacular for disadvantaged children. Last night this charitable arm of the club presented a laugh a minute during their annual Comedy Night and Broadwayworld was there photo and laugh along. Although the politically incorrect and xxx rated humor cannot be recounted here (what happens in the Friars stays in the Friars), MC Stewie Stone did point out after one of the comics hysterical routine that this particular comedienne wanted to be Donald Trumps running mate. The night was a fund raiser by the Sunshine Committee and the live auction was extremely rewarding and also very funny.

Lisa Lampanelli is bringing her outrageous, raunchy “Leaner Meaner Tour” to New Hampshire Friday, October 16, at 8pm! Comedy's lovable “Queen of Mean” is an equal opportunity offender who pulls no punches with her trademark in- your- face insult comedy. Tickets start at $38 and are available now!

Friars Club had a special  Bottoms Up Happy Hour last night to introduce two new bartenders, Jeanette and Joe. The jam packed Lucille Ball room also featured the piano stylings and vocals of Friar Stephen Sorokoff. After a very happy few hours many members enjoyed dinner in the Frank Sinatra dinning room where one of the menu selections was Friar Jimmy Fallon's Favorite Chicken Chow Mein. Even some Friars who were rained out of the Tennis Open were happy as they listened to Stephen's Billy Stritch, Buddy Greco, Errol Garner, & Steve Tyrell influenced musical offerings.

Robert Davi the award-winning actor, screenwriter, director, producer and jazz vocalist joined Barry Manilow who is headlining this year's Independence Day celebration on the National Mall, performing July 4th with the National Symphony Orchestra. Recently Will Friedwald interviewed Mr. Davi for a documentary at the Friars Club. Davi is hailed by many as one of today's great interpreters of the "Great American Songbook."

Comedian Tom Cotter has taken the comedy scene by storm since finishing as runner-up and becoming the Breakout Star from Season 7's America's Got Talent.  (He lost to a dog act, but don't hold that against him.)  Tom was the first comedian ever to be a finalist on the show and was the highest finishing human being on the show that year.  In 2013, AGT asked Tom back to perform as a special guest star and then again to host The Season 8 AGT Snapple Viewing Party.
