American Ballet Theatre will dedicate its performances at the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C., January 26-31, 2010, to the memory of Ballet Mistress Georgina Parkinson, who passed away in December. A beloved friend and colleague, Ms. Parkinson held the title of Ballet Mistress with ABT for more than 30 years.

New York City Center?s 2009-10 season begins on September 22 with the sixth annual Fall for Dance Festival, featuring 20 companies in 10 nights of dance for only $10 per ticket. The season also includes the third season of acclaimed choreographer Christopher Wheeldon?s dance company Morphoses/The Wheeldon Company and premieres by resident companies Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater and the Paul Taylor Dance Company. The New York Flamenco Festival will celebrate its 10 anniversary year with mesmerizing performances with renowned dancers and musicians direct from Andalusia, Spain, and visiting companies will include the U.S. debut of Corella Ballet Castilla Y León, choreographer Angel Corella?s acclaimed company, based in Spain; Tanguera ?The Tango Musical; and Companhia de Dança Deborah Colker.

Empire film magazine recently crowned Marilyn Monroe the 'Sexiest Female Movie Star of all Time', Playboy hailed her the 'Number One Sex Star of the 20th Century', while People magazine voted her the 'Sexiest Woman of the Century'. Now the life of the troubled screen goddess, one of Hollywood's most beautiful icons from the golden age of movies, is coming to the West End in Marilyn, a dance musical that celebrates her all-too-brief life.

Spend a day with Virgil Thomson-one of the most remarkable, influential and controversial artists in the history of contemporary American music. From his bed at the Chelsea Hotel in New York City, Thomson ran the world of music as chief music critic for the Herald Tribune. The 'Father of American Music,' Thomson paved the way for his contemporaries who included Aaron Copland, Paul Bowles, Igor Stravinsky, Mark Blitzstein, Ned Rorem and Leonard Bernstein, among many others. He was awarded the Pulitzer Prize for his score of the film Louisiana Story.

Asolo Repertory Theatre announces Tome' Cousin as Director/Choreographer for its 09-10 season production of Susan Stroman's Tony winning musical, Contact. Cousin performed in and helped to develop Contact as part of the original Lincoln Center ensemble, both off-Broadway and on, from 1999-2002. As Supervising Director for Susan Stroman Productions of Contact, he is the only person sanctioned by Stroman to direct the production.
