Matthew Bourne's 'Cinderella' from New Adventures, presented by Center Theatre Group is now on stage at the Ahmanson Theatre through March 10, 2019.

In a rare piece of programming from the Royal Opera House, audiences have the opportunity, for a limited run, to watch the Royal Ballet School's talent of tomorrow and the main company's talent of today together in a mixed programme of animal-based stories. It features new work from Artist in Residence Liam Scarlett and Frederick Ashton's popular Two Pigeons, seen previously this year alongside Scarlett's Asphodel Meadows. The former First Artist certainly seems to be making his mark on the company repertoire.

Karen Kain, Artistic Director of The National Ballet of Canada, today announced that she will direct and stage a new Swan Lake for the 2019/20 season in celebration of her 50th anniversary with the company. The Washington Ballet will debut its full length version of the breathtakingly iconic ballet The Sleeping Beauty February 27-March 3, 2019 at The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. Set to Tchaikovsky's enchanting score, this fairy tale of true love that conquers all and the power of good over evil comes to life through the beauty of classical dance, with Princess Aurora, her dashing Prince and other quintessential storybook characters.

The National Ballet, under the guidance of its artistic director, the legendary Karen Kain, brought Ottawa a treat this week. Three short ballets, each with a vastly different feel, graced the stage of Southam Hall.

This June, The Royal Ballet pays tribute to Prima Ballerina Assoluta Dame Margot Fonteyn with a special programme of works celebrating the centenary of her birth. Margot Fonteyn: A Celebration will take place on 8 June 2019, with a performance of The Firebird, one of her signature ballets, alongside a selection of other works closely associated with one of ballet's most revered and influential dancers.

The Washington Ballet announces updates to its company roster for the 2018.19 season.

The Actors Fund, a national human services organization that has served all professionals in the entertainment industry since 1882, today announced that it will honor Palm Beach cultural philanthropist Anka Palitz, along with Ethan Stiefel, principal guest instructor at American Ballet Theatre, and ABT principal dancer Gillian Murphy, at the 10th anniversary Heart & Soul Gala. Not only was Ethan Stiefel the first individual dancer supported by Mrs. Palitz, he and fellow honoree Gillian Murphy are married and expecting their first child.

The Washington Ballet is pleased to announce a special performance of Septime Webre's The Nutcracker on Friday, December 7 at 7PM, featuring the Washington Nationals Racing Presidents; George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Abraham Lincoln and Theodore Roosevelt will take the stage during Act II to perform Frontiersman.  

The Maggie Allesee Department of Theatre and Dance, a program within the College of Fine, Performing and Communication Arts at Wayne State University, is thrilled to kick off our year-long 90 Years of Dance at Wayne celebration with the annual December Dance Concert, December 7 and 8 at Detroit's Music Hall Center for the Performing Arts.  This year's show promises diverse and moving works showcasing highlights of dance through the decades. Dance students have the pleasure of working with a variety of talented artists, including invited guests, esteemed faculty, and talented student choreographers.
