This January, TV Land is delivering a star-powered full hour of original comedy with the premiere of 'Retired at 35' on January 19th, 2011 at 10:30 PM ET/PT following the return of cable's #1 sitcom 'Hot in Cleveland.' 'Retired at 35' is TV Land's second original sitcom and stars veteran actors George Segal and Jessica Walter and newcomers Johnathan McClain, Josh McDermitt and Ryan Michelle Bathe. TV Land's first original sitcom, 'Hot in Cleveland,' premiered last year and became basic cable's #1 sitcom of all time among the network's target audience of A24-54 and total viewers. In its 10-episode run it even out-delivered shows like 'Mad Men,' 'Real Housewives of New Jersey,' 'Top Chef' and 'Nip/Tuck.'

Rue, Watson, et al. Set for ALWAYS AND FOREVER on ABC Family

Sara Rue, Barry Watson, Valerie Harper and Fred Willard have been cast in ABC Family's upcoming original movie, 'Always and Forever' (working title). The movie, which has begun principal photography in Atlanta, is set to premiere in Spring 2011 on ABC Family.

The Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute has always been a location known for multiple celebrity sightings and many certainly turned out last Saturday, Nov 6th, for the opening night of 'BARRYMORE' starring Jack Betts as the famous thespian. The standing room only crowd included representatives of stage, film and TV with Julie Newmar, Fred Willard, Rip Taylor, Thao Penghlis, John Glover, Don Swayze, Ned VanZandt, Larry Pressman, as well as Ana Strasberg and John Barrymore, Jr. The evening's festivities included a birthday celebration for the opening's hostess, Doris Roberts.

At an Opening Night reception, Producer Garry Marshall and musical icon Paul Williams will pay tribute to this great man of television, film and theatre. Also there to celebrate and pay tribute will be Producer Arnold Margolin, Writer/Producer Ed Scharlach, Actor Scott Baio ('Chachi'), Actress Cathy Silvers ('Jenny Piccalo'), at a VIP reception prior to the Opening Night Performance of HAPPY DAYS, A New Musical, on Friday, October 22 beginning at 5:30pm. Both events will be presented at UCLA's Freud Playhouse. This world premiere event features old friends, and former cast mates from "The Producers," Martin Short and Reprise Theatre Company Artistic Director Jason Alexander doing what they do best - making people laugh! Ticket sales for this event support Reprise Theatre Company and their mission to produce great musical theatre as well as arts education programs that bring the magic of theatre to underserved members of our community. Reprise Theatre Company is headed by Artistic Director Jason Alexander, who is best known for his 9-year stint as George Costanza on "Seinfeld." Christine Bernardi is Managing Director and Gilles Chiasson is Producing Director of Reprise Theatre Company. Born in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, Martin Short began his career in Canada's "SCTV Comedy Network" for which he received an Emmy Award. Short's proven ability as a comedic chameleon and his host of hilarious impressions brought him to the attention of "Saturday Night Live." From there, he made his big screen debut in "Three Amigos," Other films include "Inner Space", "Three Fugitives", "Clifford", "Mars Attacks", "The Big Picture", Father of the Bride 1 & 2 and "Jiminy Glick in LALAWOOD, among others Short has received 15 Emmy nominations for his work in television which includes "Merlin", "Alice in Wonderland," "The Martin Short Show", "Primetime Glick" and this season's "Damages", for which he was most recently nominated. A veteran of the theater in Canada and on Broadway, Short has received accolades for his varied work on stage including "The Goodbye Girl" (Tony nomination, Theatre World Award, Outer Critics Circle Award), "Little Me" (Tony Award, Outer Critics Circle Award), and "The Producers" (with Jason Alexander) and in 2006, his musical-comedy Broadway hit "Fame Becomes Me." In 1994, Short was awarded the "Order of Canada" and in 2000 was inducted into the Canadian Walk of Fame. However, all of the above is a distant second to his love and respect for his wife Nancy and their three children Katherine, Oliver and Henry. About Reprise Theatre Company Since its inception in 1997, Reprise Theatre Company has been a focus of the Los Angeles musical theatre community, producing productions of great American musicals, and a wide variety of concerts, staged-readings, special events and outreach programs.
