On Sunday, April 23, 2017 at 7:30pm, Works & Process at the Guggenheim presents New York City Ballet's Music Director Andrew Litton, a longtime conductor of symphony orchestras around the world who recently added ballet orchestra maestro to his achievements with his appointment at NYCB. Litton will share his unique perspective on the similarities and differences between these two experiences, and will illuminate the intricacies of NYCB's vast musical repertory prior to the Company's upcoming Here/Now Festival, featuring 43 ballets created for NYCB since 1988, which will take place from April 25 through May 21 at the David H. Koch Theater at Lincoln Center.

 Dallas Theater Center announced today complete details for Electra beginning on April 4 with a Pay-What-You-Can performance and running through May 21 in the outdoor venue of the Annette Strauss Square at the AT&T Performing Arts Center. This May, in celebration of Frank Lloyd Wright's 150th anniversary, UNESCO World Heritage List-nominated Hollyhock House presents a J.U.S.T. Toys Production in association withCircle X Theatre Co. of a very unique immersive event, FEFU AND HER FRIENDS, written by Maria Irene Fornes, with choreography by Zsofia Nemes, musical composition by Daniel Szabo and directed by Kate Jopson. FEFU AND HER FREIENDS is the first play EVER to be performed at the iconic house, which is located in the heart of Barnsdall Art Park, a vibrant, artistic and recreational destination. With just 20 guests admitted to each of the 12 performances, attendees will enjoy a truly intimate front row experience at the play, which previews on Thursday, May 4; with a press opening on Friday, May 5 at 8pm and runs through Sunday, May 28 (4800 Hollywood Blvd., Los Angeles, 90027).

Dallas Theater Center announced today that Hamilton: An American Musical stars Sydney James Harcourt and Elizabeth Judd will headline Centerstage 2017: Revolution and Revelry on Saturday, May 6. Chaired by Mickie and Jeff Bragalone, with Honorary Chairs Linda and Bill Custard, Centerstage 2017 will take place at the Dee and Charles Wyly Theatre, which will be transformed for the evening.

The Metropolitan Opera's 2017-18 season will feature 220 performances of 26 works, including two Met premieres, one co-commissioned by the company and one an older masterpiece having its first Met performances; a variety of repertory favorites, three in new productions; and performances of Verdi's towering concert work for soloists, orchestra, and chorus, the Requiem. Of note, Broadway star Kelli O'Hara is set to return to the Met in Così fan tutte this season.

On Sunday and Monday, April 30 and May 1, 2017 at 7:30pm, Works & Process at the Guggenheim presents performance highlights and discussion on American Ballet Theatre's newest production, Whipped Cream by Artist in Residence Alexei Ratmansky in collaboration with pop surrealist Mark Ryden.  Ratmansky and moderator John Meehan will discuss the new work and ABT dancers will perform excerpts prior to the New York premiere.
