MARY STUART at Folger Theatre is a must see production. As directed by Richard Clifford and featuring the dual leading ladies Kate Eastwood Norris and Holly Twyford, this is a show that catches lightning as only live theatre can do. This is not a documentary, however, it is vibrant, exciting, intriguing theatre presented by artists at the top of their game.

When Andre De Shields steps onto the stage next week in Arena Stage's revival of August Wilson's King Hedley II, it will mark another in a series of firsts in a remarkable career.

England's most storied rivalry takes center stage at Folger Theatre in Friedrich Schiller's classic drama Mary Stuart from tonight, January 27- March 8, 2015.

BURNING DESIRE, a modern parable written by Lou Diamond Phillips will be presented as a staged reading in New York City at St. Malachy's Church at The Actors Chapel, on Wednesday, January 28th at 8:00 p.m.

The Whipping Man by Matthew Lopez opens tonight, January 23, 2015 at George Street Playhouse. The production runs through February 15, 2015 Directed by Seret Scott, the cast features Ron Canada, Luke Forbes and Adam Gerber.

On Tuesday, February 3 at 7:30 pm, the O.B. Hardison Poetry Series at the Folger Shakespeare Library continues its 46th season with a reading by two voices from the world of British poetry and theatre—Simon Armitage and Peter Oswald. The post-reading conversation will be moderated by Paul Smith, Director of the British Council, USA.
