Maureen Lipman will be playing the worst singer in the world on stage at the Birmingham Repertory Theatre this Autumn in a new play, Glorious, based on the life of Florence Foster Jenkins.

Souvenir, The York's Theatre Company's hit play starring Tony-Award winner Judy Kaye, which has been playing to cheering audiences, has been extended thru January 16, 2005 at the Company's home, The York Theatre at Saint Peter's in the Citigroup Center, 619 Lexington Avenue (at 54th Street). The Daily News wrote, 'Souvenir is hilarious... touching... a remarkable piece of theater.'

The York Theatre Company (James Morgan, Producing Artistic Director), in association with Ted Snowdon, will open its 36th season with the world premiere of Souvenir, a play with music starring Tony Award-winner Judy Kaye and noted Broadway conductor Jack Lee, on Friday, November 19 at the Company's home at Saint Peter's, Citigroup Center, 619 Lexington Avenue (at 54th Street). Opening night is scheduled for Wednesday, December 1; the play continues through Sunday, January 2, 2005.
