White Horse Theater Company Presents GHOST PLAY

The White Horse Theater Company, known for acclaimed productions of plays by Sam Shepard and Tennessee Williams, will present a rare revival of Tennessee Williams' Clothes for a Summer Hotel. The play is directed by White Horse Producing Artistic Director Cyndy A. Marion, recognized for her recent revivals of Williams' Small Craft Warnings and In the Bar of a Tokyo Hotel.

Elevator Repair Service's GATZ Gets Go-Ahead from Fitzgerald Executors

GATZ, the upcoming staged reading of the classic F. Scott Fitzgerald novel, has been given the go-ahead by Fitzgerald's executors. The estate had previously blocked performances of GATZ, as the rights were held by the producers of the novel. Several companies have expressed interest in producing GATZ, including St. Ann's Warehouse, the Public Theatre, and the New York Theatre Workshop.

A.R.T. Announces Casting for GATZ; Opens 1/7

Casting has been announced for the upcoming production of GATZ, presented by Elevator Repair Service and directed by John Collins at the American Repertory Theater. The staged reading of the classic F. Scott Fitzgerald novel will include Jim Fletcher as Gatsby, Scott Shepherd as Nick, Victoria Vazquez as Daisy, and Gary Wilmes as Tom. The production will play the A.R.T. from January 7th to February 7th, 2010.

On Thursday, November 5th at 7:00pm, theatre luminaries, friends of Mr. Williams and people who were inspired by his life work, will take part in the historic celebration. Participants include Eli Wallach & Anne Jackson, Vanessa Redgrave, Marian Seldes, John Guare, Olympia Dukakis, John Patrick Shanley, Gregory Mosher, Sylvia Miles, William Jay Smith, Lenya Rideout, Jeremy Lawrence, Wyatt Prunty, David Kaplan, Thomas Keith, Mitch Douglas, and current Cathedral Poet-in-Residence Charles F. Martin. It is expected that additional friends and colleagues of Mr. Williams will also be taking part in the evening.

MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET, the new musical inspired by the famed 1956 recording session that brought together four of the most legendary figures in the history of rock 'n' roll - Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins, and Elvis Presley - will open at Broadway's Nederlander Theatre, 208 West 41st Street, in April, 2010. Previews will begin March 13, 2010.
