Nikki Finke's Deadline Hollywood Daily website is reporting that Baz Luhrmann's next film will be based on the classic novel, The Great Gatsby.

Following rave reviews Too Much Memory, written by Keith Reddin and Meg Gibson, and directed by Ms. Gibson, has sold out its run through its closing on Monday, December 22, at the Fourth Street Theatre, 83 East 4th Street. The Rising Phoenix Repertory and Piece by Piece production opened Tuesday, December 9, to rave reviews as part of New York Theatre Workshop's Jonathan Larson Lab. All performances are sold out. Those wishing to be put on a waiting should arrive at the theatre 45 minutes prior to curtain.

Princeton's famed Triangle Club will pay homage to the American Master of the Macabre, poet and author Edgar Allan Poe, to mark the occasion of his 200th birthday, with its newest show Stark Raven Mad! Presented on the Matthews stage of McCarter Theatre, performances will be held on Friday and Saturday, November 14 and 15 at 8 pm.

Preview performances at the Apollo Theater begin Friday, Oct. 31, with the official opening scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 6 at 7:30 PM. Tickets for the Apollo run are currently on sale through January 4, 2009.

New York Theatre Workshop (NYTW) announced that due to critical acclaim and sold-out houses 'The Sound and The Fury (April Seventh, 1928'), will extend its run through Sunday, June 1, at NYTW.

Nicola and Acting Managing Director Fred Walker have announced that The Sound and The Fury (April Seventh, 1928), based on part one of the novel by William Faulkner, created by Elevator Repair Service (ERS), and directed by John Collins, will begin performances Tuesday, April 15, at NYTW, 79 East 4th Street, between Second Avenue and Bowery. Opening night is scheduled for Tuesday, April 29 at 7:00pm. The production will run through May 18.

Urban Stages is pleased to announce the final production of their 2007/2008 season: 27 Rue de Fleurus, a new musical derived from the imagination of Alice B. Toklas. Alice tries to set the record straight about being Gertrude Stein's 'wife' for nearly 40 years. 27 Rue de Fleurus will be directed by Urban Stages Artistic Director Frances Hill.
