A new block of tickets for Million Dollar Quartet, the new hit musical inspired by the famed 1956 recording session that brought together legendary rock ‘n' roll icons Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins and Elvis Presley, will go on sale Friday, March 26, 2010. Tickets will be on sale through September 5, 2010.

Signature Honors Sondheim w/ Weekend of Free Events

On March 20 and 21, The Signature Theatre will celebrate the life and work of composer/lyricist Stephen Sondheim, the man who has transformed the face of American musical theater with works such as A Little Night Music, Sweeney Todd, Company, Follies, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, and Sunday in the Park with George. Sondheim turns 80 on March 22, and since he's Signature's 'signature' composer, the theater company will honor him with a full weekend of free events including lobby performances, backstage tours, films, lectures, actor discussions, a critic forum, a sing-along, and a birthday cake. The schedule for the Signature's Sondheim Birthday Weekend is Saturday, March 20 from 12 - 7pm and Sunday, March 20 from12:45 - 10pm.

The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts announced its 2010-2011 theater programming. The season will feature: a Center-produced revival of Stephen Sondheim's Follies; ON THE FRINGE: Eye on Edinburgh featuring new work by artists emerging from the Edinburgh Festival Fringe; 11 and 12, directed by Peter Brook; Chekhov International Theatre Festival's Three Sisters and Twelfth Night; DRUID's The Cripple of Inishmaan; and Penumbra Theatre Company's new production I Wish You Love, as part of the Kennedy Center Fund for New American Plays. Barbara Cook's Spotlight will bring six theater cabaret performers in its fourth season, and audiences will delight in touring productions of Hair, Rodgers & Hammerstein's South Pacific, Wicked, and Next to Normal. The 2010-2011 season is as follows:

As announced by Kennedy Center President Michael M. Kaiser, Follies, the Stephen Sondheim and James Goldman musical, will be included in their 2010-2011 season. The production will be directed by Eric Schaeffer, Artistic Director of The Signature Theatre, and choreographed by Warren Carlyle of Finian's Rainbow. Casting has not yet been announced, and additional production details are expected to be announced shortly.
