TerraNOVA Collective, celebrating their 10th season, has completed casting for the World Premiere of P.S. Jones and The Frozen City, a comic book superhero adventure story written by Robert Askins and directed by José Zayas. P.S. Jones and The Frozen City runs from December 3 - 23, 2012 in a limited engagement at the New Ohio Theatre, located at 154 Christopher Street between Greenwich and Washington Streets in New York City. Previews begin December 3 for a December 10 opening.

Magic Theatre introduces playwright Anna Ziegler to the Bay Area with the world premiere of Another Way Home, running from November 7 - December 2.

Yale Repertory Theatre, in a co-production with American Repertory Theater, presents the world premiere of Marie Antoinette by David Adjmi, directed by Rebecca Taichman. Marie Antoinette will be performed at Yale Repertory Theatre (1120 Chapel Street) October 26 through November 17. Opening Night is Thursday, November 1. The cast includes Fred Arsenault, Hannah Cabell, David Greenspan, Marin Ireland, Vin Knight, Jo Lampert, Polly Lee, Steven Rattazzi, Jake Silbermann, Teale Sperling, Brian Wiles, and Ashton Woerz.

Tangent Theatre Company announces the six plays to be featured in their NEWvember New Plays Festival - a showcase of original works to be held at the Carpenter Shop Theater, their intimate 50-seat performance space (Nov. 8 -11, 2012).

Ensemble Studio Theatre/Youngblood, the under-30, 2012 Obie Award-winning playwright incubator at Ensemble Studio Theatre (EST), 549 West 52nd Street, that has produced talents such as Annie Baker, Amy Herzog, Jon Kern, Lucy Alibar, and Robert Askins, opens Unfiltered 2012 Friday, November 9, at 7:00pm.

Producer Charlie Lyons (The Water Horse, The Guardian, Ladder 49), director Jay Russell (The Water Horse, Ladder 49, My Dog Skip) and actor Tim Guinee (NBC's "Revolution", Showtime's "Homeland", "Iron Man I & II") worked for two years to acquire the theatrical stage rights to the most famous and beloved of all noir short stories, "Rear Window" (aka "It Had to be Murder"). This unique producing consortium announced today their plans to mount a Broadway production of the iconic and haunting tale of the wheelchair bound witness to a possible murder in his neighboring New York City apartment. Although the Broadway rights in this story have been repeatedly sought over the years from the Sheldon Abend Revocable Trust and its predecessors, this is the first option ever granted.

Rosalind Productions Inc. will present the Off-Broadway premiere of Jennifer Maisel's The Last Seder. This Off-Broadway limited engagement at Theater Three (311 West 43rd Street) begins December 1st and continues through December 20th only. Opening Night is set for Tuesday December 4th (7pm). The show runs 90 minutes without an intermission.

Ben Rimalower's PATTI ISSUES, written and performed by Ben Rimalower and directed by Aaron Mark extends again at the Duplex through the end of the year-until December 29th, 2012!

From the Lark Play Development Center's BareBones® workshop program that supported Katori Hall's THE MOUNTAINTOP, Rajiv Joseph's BENGAL TIGER AT THE BAGHDAD ZOO, and Kristoffer Diaz's WELCOME TO ARROYOS, the Lark announces a BareBones® workshop of THE WAY WEST by Mona Mansour, directed by Linsay Firman. Passage Theatre Company will produce its first main stage play of the 2012-2013 season at the Mill Hill Playhouse in Trenton tonight, October 18 - November 4.

On November 8th, renowned singer-songwriter, composer, musician and poet Alicia Jo Rabins will debut her brand new, full-length performative song cycle A KADDISH FOR BERNIE MADOFF at Joe's Pub in New York City. A second performance follows on November 15th.

Rob Sedgwick, accomplished New York actor, will join the cast of Warren Manzi's Perfect Crime, the longest running play in the history of New York theater, as Lionel McAuley, the deranged patient of physiatrist Margaret Brent. Sedgwick will perform a special limited run beginning Oct. 15 and running through Oct. 20.

The McCarter Lab Fall Festival 2012 will feature some of the leading and emerging playwrights of the American theater from October 29 through November 4, in a series of unstaged readings and special events in celebration of the artist's work. Before Fifty Shades of Grey, there was Rona Jaffe's scandalous 1958 bestseller THE BEST OF EVERYTHING. Now this controversial novel, which was the basis for the hit 1959 movie starring Joan Crawford, comes to the stage courtesy of the new theater company 95 WordsPerMinute. It is adapted and directed by Julie Kramer, and developed with actor and writer Amy Wilson. Two additional performances -- Monday, Oct. 15 at 8:30pm & Saturday, Oct. 20 at 4pm -- have been added to the performances schedule at HERE.

Producing theater companies Liberation Theatre Company, Woodie King Jr.'s National Black Touring Circuit, and SOUL PROductions have teamed up to present Eric Lockley's hilarious affirmative action comedy, Blacken The Bubble at The HSA Theater (645 Saint Nicholas Avenue). Blacken The Bubble will officially open tonight, October 13, 2012 at 7:00 pm.

Lynne Meadow (Artistic Director), Barry Grove (Executive Producer), and Mandy Greenfield (Artistic Producer) just announced the 2012 recipients of the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation Initiative commissions for Manhattan Theatre Club. This year's six commissioned writers are April de Angelis (Jumpy), Nick Jones (The Coward), Heidi Schreck (Creature), Melissa Ross (Thinner Than Water), Sarah Treem (A Feminine Ending), and Bess Wohl (Barcelona).
