Previews began Sunday (February 24) for Tina Benko starring in Jackie, the North American premiere of the play by Nobel Prize winning Austrian Elfriede Jelinek, best known in the United States for her novel The Piano Teacher and the 2001 film based on it. Directed by Tea Alagic from the English translation by Gitta Honegger, Jackie opens Tuesday, March 5, at 7:30pm at Women's Project Theater's new home, New York City Center Stage II, 131 West 55th Street. InFusion Theatre Company has announced its second collaboration with award-winning playwright Qui Nguyen with the Midwest premiere of Fight Girl Battle World, directed by InFusion Artistic Director Mitch Golob, May 14 - June 16, at Theater Wit, 1229 W. Belmont Ave.

Vampire Cowboys present GEEK!, written by Crystal Skillman and directed by Robert Ross Parker and featuring cast members Sheldon Best, Allison Buck, Becky Byers, Rebecca Comtois, Eugene Oh and Emily Williams. GEEK! will run March 21-April 13, 2013.

Theater for the New City (Crystal Field, Executive Director) will present Lesser America's World Premiere of Nick Jones' (Jollyship the Whiz-bang with Ars Nova/The Public; The Coward with Lincoln Center) Trevor, tonight, February 28-March 17 at Theater for the New City (155 1st Avenue between 9th and 10th Street).

Playwright Tommy Smith returns to The Flea and once again brings you to the brink with the New York Premiere of WHITE HOT. In her directorial debut, the production will be helmed by Flea Resident Director Courtney Ulrich starring The Bats, the resident acting company at The Flea. Previews begin April 26 with opening night slated for May 7.

Kumu Kahau Theatre will present the world premiere of ALL THAT REMAINS, a story of loyalty and betrayal told by ghost soldiers from the 100th Infantry Battalion and the 442nd Regimental Combat team who return just one night to a forest in France to recreate a single act of violence that torments both the living and the dead. Using an experimental style drawing from Japanese Noh theatre, ALL THAT REMAINS offers a challenging, provocative look at the heroism and despair of war.

The San Francisco Playhouse (Bill English, Artistic Director; Susi Damilano, Producing Director) launches the third season of their Sandbox Series with the world premiere, Inevitable by Jordan Puckett, Literary Manager of the San Francisco Playhouse.

Ego Actus (Bruce A! Kraemer and Joan Kane producers) presents I Know What Boys Want, a new drama by award winning playwright Penny Jackson opening March 28th at the WorkShop Theater.
