New York, NY (October 9th, 2014) Broken Heart Land, a Finalist in the 2012 Native American New Play Festival is a full-length play by Cherokee Nation playwright Vicki Lynn Mooney and directed by Tony White. Broken Heart Land is the heart wrenching story of Alma Wimsey, the mixed-blood daughter of a Cherokee father and white mother. At thirteen she is manipulated into an arranged marriage so that her white grandfather can gain control over her tribal land including the valuable railroad through Tulsa. The story is one of love and power within the Native community during the devastating land grab by white interlopers in Oklahoma when it was still Indian Territory.

'Misterman' enjoyed sold-out runs and glowing reviews from audiences and critics when it premiered at the 2011 Galway Arts Festival, followed by the New York premiere at St. Ann's Warehouse. 'Misterman' is headed to Colorado with the news that Mr. Walsh's critically acclaimed hit play, will feature Olympia Dukakis voicing the role of Mammy. The play will be directed by Melissa Firlit and the role of Thomas Magill will be played by New York actor Craig MacArthur. 'Misterman' opens at the Thingamajig Theatre Company's 99-seat black box today, September 26th and runs through October 12th. The production will then relocate to Denver this fall before returning to New York in spring of 2015.
