With lead actress Lindsay LaVanchy currently in New Orleans shooting an episode of Scream: The TV Series for MTV, the Fountain Theatre has announced a revised running schedule for the West Coast premiere of Baby Doll, adapted by Pierre Laville and Emily Mann from the 1956 Academy Award-nominated film by Tennessee Williams. The new opening date will be July 29, and performances will continue through Sept. 25.

The Hermitage Artist Retreat is pleased to announce that its coveted Greenfield Prize Commission, play BATHING IN MOONLIGHT by Nilo Cruz, is set to premiere in Princeton, NJ this fall at McCarter Theatre Center's Roger S. Berlind Theatre. The 2014 Greenfield Prize in drama is a $30,000 commission in exchange for a new work to be presented within two years.

This summer, L.A. audiences get to see a brand new play by Tennessee Williams. Simon Levy directs the West Coast premiere of Baby Doll, adapted by Pierre Laville and Emily Mann from the 1956 Academy Award-nominated film of the same name - the first-ever Williams Estate-approved adaptation of this Williams screenplay. Baby Doll opens at the Fountain Theatre on July 16, starring Daniel Bess, Karen Kondazian, Lindsay LaVanchy, John Prosky and George Roland.

McCarter Theatre Center is proud to welcome a group of esteemed and emerging playwrights and their artistic collaborators to Princeton for its annual ten-day Sallie B. Goodman Artists' Retreat. The Retreat is a centerpiece of McCarter's LAB platform which is devoted to the ongoing theatrical development of new plays, musicals and re-explored classics. The retreat runs from June 5th through June 14th.

On Saturday, May 7th, McCarter Theatre Center will host its annual Gala Benefit, which supports McCarter's many ongoing artistic and educational missions here in Princeton and around the region. This year's gala is fashioned on the theme of Truman Capote's 1960s 'Black and White Ball,' with offerings including a silent auction; a post-concert party complete with music and dancing; as well as other surprises for attendees.
