John Carter Cash, Larry Gatlin, Jamey Johnson, The Oak Ridge Boys, The Roys, Marty Stuart, Randy Travis and other entertainers paid tribute to Johnny Cash as he was inducted today into the Postal Service's Music Icons Forever stamp series at the Grand Ole Opry Ryman Auditorium.

CCT-North Idaho, part of the CYT-North Idaho organization is bringing the Broadway American Classic Musical, Bye Bye Birdie to the S.A. Kroc Theater, July 19-28. CYT-North Idaho known for its after-school theater arts training program and quality family entertainment added their first Christian Community Theater or CCT show last year. They are thrilled to once again add a summer show to their season.

Beverly Ross, iconic songwriter of classic rock 'n' roll tunes such as “Lollipop” for the Chordettes, “Judy's Turn to Cry” for Leslie Gore, and two hits for Elvis Presley, “The Girl of My Best Friend” and “Dixieland Rock” will have a book signing on June 18th 6PM at Two Old Hippies in the Gulch.

Dubbed the season of 'ART Inside the Box', the company has moved from Bittner Hall into the basement of 16 Linwood location and has converted it into a black box theater performance space. ART/WNY decision to move from Bittner Hall into this space allows the company more flexibility with productions scheduled for the 2013-14 season as well as allows ART/WNY more of a permenent presences in the space. 'We can build, create and light environments without the overhanging pressure to tear it down and reset the whole thing, from platforms to light grid, for each production.' Added Executive/Artistic Director Matthew LaChiusa. 'That's going to add to the production values of each piece as well as make it more of a engaging experience for patrons.'

Imagem Music USA has signed a multi-year agreement with the Arthur Gershwin Testamentary Trust to administer the work George Gershwin created during the last three years of his life, including the songs featured in Porgy and Bess, Shall We Dance, A Damsel In Distress, and The Goldwyn Follies.

A rare VOX guitar played by two legendary Beatles, John Lennon and George Harrison, sold at Julien's Auctions yesterday during the annual Music Icons auction event held at the Hard Rock Café New York. The spectacular piece of Beatles history sold for $408,000.

Val Kilmer, famous for his portrayals of iconic characters such as Jim Morrison (The Doors), Doc Holliday (Tombstone) and Batman (Batman Forever), inhabits the spirit of yet another legendary figure: Mark Twain. Kilmer continues to develop Citizen Twain, a solo show about the man considered to be the world's greatest storyteller, at the Kirk Douglas Theatre in Culver City, June 28 to July 14 for a limited three-week engagement, followed by this fall by performances in London's West End.
