Cortland Repertory Theatre kicks off their 42nd season at the Little York Pavilion in Preble with the theatre's premiere production of Agatha Christie's mystery, The Unexpected Guest. Performances will run from June 5th - 15th with evening performances at 7:30 PM. Matinees are available on June 7th, 9th and 12th at 2:00 PM. Tickets may be purchased by calling 800-427-6160 or at the CRT Box Office's new location at 24 Port Watson Street in Cortland. The Palace Theatre in downtown Manchester will close its 2012- 2013 Citizens Bank Performing Arts Series Season with an original musical production, British Invasion, from Friday, June 7th at 7:30 p.m. through Saturday, June 22nd, at 7:30 p.m. British Invasion, written, conceived and choreographed by Palace Theatre Artistic Director, Carl Rajotte, pays tribute to the innovative and timeless music influenced by the singers and musicians from across the pond.

AMERICAN IDOL's Michael Orland to Join Lillias White for A WOMAN ON LOVE, 6/3 & 10

Chris Isaacson Presents and Upright Cabaret have announced that American Idol's Michael Orland will be the musical director for the West Coast club return of Broadway diva and Tony Award-winner Lillias White's new show, A Woman On Love, at the Catalina Jazz Club in Hollywood. There will be two performances only, on Mondays, June 3 and 10 at 8:30pm, with cocktail and dinner service beginning at 6:30pm. The June 10 show also marks the second anniversary of The Night After The Tonys, a tradition begun in 2012 by Ms. White and Upright Cabaret.

Tony Award winner Tonya Pinkins (Caroline, or Change, Play On!, Jelly's Last Jam, 'All My Children') has joined the lineup for tonight's May 27 edition of The Pop Show, part of the Broadway at Birdland series at Birdland Jazz Club. The 7pm concert will feature songs from the Elton John catalog.

High school seniors of the University of North Carolina School of the Arts (UNCSA) got the graduation ceremony of their dreams on Saturday, May 18, when Disney Theatrical Group President Thomas Schumacher delivered their commencement address, and the diplomas were presented by 'Mary Poppins' herself: UNCSA alumna Rachel Wallace. A 2009 college graduate, Wallace just completed a run in the national tour and the New Zealand company of the popular Disney show. Scroll down for photos from the ceremony!

Hennepin Theatre Trust today announced the new spring 2013 honorees from Minnesota high schools recognizing musical theatre accomplishments by school and category for the 2012-13 SpotLight Musical Theatre Program. Now in its eighth successful year, SpotLight is Hennepin Theatre Trust's flagship educational initiative which honors and supports Minnesota high school musical theatre students and programs. This year, 56 schools, including nine from greater Minnesota, are presenting musicals made possible by the collaboration of almost 5,000 students and annually seen by an estimated 105,000 audience members.
