Cortland Repertory Theatre kicks off their 42nd season at the Little York Pavilion in Preble with the theatre's premiere production of Agatha Christie's mystery, The Unexpected Guest. Performances will run from tonight, June 5th - 15th with evening performances at 7:30 PM. Matinees are available on June 7th, 9th and 12th at 2:00 PM. 'You were all terrific!' Sir Tim Rice shared with the cast, band and crew of CHESS this past weekend in an intimate post-show meet and greet. Judith Hill will give her original song 'Desperation' its television debut this Friday, June 7, when she performs on 'The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.' The track is featured on 20 Feet From Stardom: Music From The Motion Picture (Columbia Records), the soundtrack from the compelling new film from award-winning director Morgan Neville, which opens in select theatres on June 14 before expanding in the weeks to follow.

Singer, concert pianist, and composer Oksana Grigorieva is taking her artistic talent in a new direction. On June 4 she will be releasing nationwide an EP titled Love to Dance that will include several new original tracks as well as a remix. In advance of the EP release she will be releasing her first single titled “Party” on May 7.

Disney's THE LION KING celebrated its second sold-out engagement in Nashville, which concluded on Sunday, June 2 at the Tennessee Performing Arts Center. The triumphant four-week return grossed over $5.3 million at the box office and entertained more than 73,000 patrons during 32 performances. The show's six-week premiere engagement in 2006 played a sold-out run at TPAC.

Chris Isaacson Presents and Upright Cabaret have announced that American Idol's Michael Orland will be the musical director for the West Coast club return of Broadway diva and Tony Award-winner Lillias White's new show, A Woman On Love, at the Catalina Jazz Club in Hollywood. There will be two performances only, on Mondays, tonight, June 3 and the 10th at 8:30pm, with cocktail and dinner service beginning at 6:30pm. The June 10 show also marks the second anniversary of The Night After The Tonys, a tradition begun in 2012 by Ms. White and Upright Cabaret.

Put 97Nine and American English together, and you have a rockin' double bill for the first of threeDowntown Alive! concerts this summer at the new RiverEdge Park, 360 North Broadway in Aurora. 97Nine and American English will perform Friday, June 28 at 7 p.m. Tickets are only $5.
