Disney's THE LION KING celebrates two anniversaries among its 10 productions worldwide. The London production marks its 15th anniversary on Sunday, October 19th at The Lyceum Theatre. The award-winning musical has entertained over 12 million theatregoers and remains the West End's best-selling stage production. It also recently became the sixth longest-running West End musical of all time. The critically-acclaimed production remains the West End's most popular musical with over 810,000 guests per year. To celebrate this milestone and to thank Londoners for embracing and supporting the show, Disney gave away 1500 tickets earlier this week to the anniversary performance.

I was invited to attend Mary Lambert's intimate and beautiful concert at SubCulture. With just a piano and her remarkable voice, she previewed songs off HEART ON MY SLEEVE and played other songs that both she and the audience love. I left that concert floating on an elevated plane of human existence, and I am happy to report that HEART ON MY SLEEVE takes me back to that transcendental field of bliss.

Disney's THE LION KING continues to reign across North America with a sold-out engagement in Boston, which concluded on Sunday, October 12 at The Boston Opera House. Heralded as a "visual feast" by the Boston Globe, the triumphant five-week return grossed over $8.8 million at the box office and entertained more than 94,000 patrons during 40 performances, one of which was tailored to the needs of patrons on the autism spectrum.
