American Conservatory Theater (A.C.T.) and Event Chairs Holly and Chris Hollenbeck announced today that Spooked at The Strand, A.C.T.'s Halloween costume party held on Monday, October 26, raised more than $130,000 for A.C.T.'s actor training program.

The Shakespeare Theatre Company (STC) has chosen Julie Taymor as the 2015 recipient of the William Shakespeare Award for Classical Theatre (Will Award), which recognizes artists who have made significant contributions to classical theatre in America. JM Zell Partners, Ltd. will receive the Sidney Harman Award for Philanthropy in the Arts. The awards will be presented at the Harman Center for the Arts Annual Gala on Sunday, November 1, 2015, hosted by STC at Sidney Harman Hall (610 F Street NW) and the National Building Museum (440 G Street NW).

American Conservatory Theater (A.C.T.) and Event Chairs Holly and Chris Hollenbeck are proud to announce Spooked at The Strand, A.C.T.'s Halloween costume party, on Monday, October 26, 6-11 p.m., at The Strand Theater (1127 Market Street, San Francisco). Proceeds from the evening, which feature special performances by A.C.T. Master of Fine Arts (M.F.A.) Program students, will support A.C.T.'s actor training and education and community programs. With the help of Tony Award winner Alan Cumming and students from the Master of Fine Arts Program, American Conservatory Theater (A.C.T.) raised over $800,000 at its 2015 Season Gala, GET STRANDED!, which celebrated the soon-to-be-opened Strand Theater, A.C.T.'s brand-new performance venue and education center.

Sundance Institute presents its U.S. and World Cinema Dramatic and Documentary Competitions and the out-of-competition NEXT <=> section of the 2015 Sundance Film Festival, running today, January 22 to February 1 in Park City, Salt Lake City, Ogden and Sundance, Utah.
