Gerard Butler, Woody Harrelson, Rashida Jones, and Sofia Vergara were on hand to announce the nominees for the 2012 Golden Globes Awards this morning. The award ceremony will be held in Beverly Hills on January 15, 2012.

The nominations were released this morning for the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences 2011 Primetime Emmy Awards. Mad Men topped the list with 19 nominations, followed by Boardwalk Empire with 18, Modern Family with 17, Saturday Night Live with 16, Game of Thrones and 30 Rock with 13 and GLEE with 12. Broadway stars Stockard Channing and Timothy Hutton will star in the new film, Multiple Sarcasms, alongside Laila Robins. Multiple Sarcasm, which features a play within the film, additionally showcases contributions by Broadway producer Milton Justice. The film opens in theaters on May 7, 2010.

Variety reports that Chekhov's 'Three Sisters' and Shakespeare's 'As You Like It' will be the second pair of repertory outings for the Bridge Project, the trans-Atlantic collaboration between Sam Mendes, Brooklyn Academy of Music and London's Old Vic.

The February 17 event begins at 6pm with cocktails and dinner onstage at the BAM Howard Gilman Opera House followed by an 8pm performance of Shakespeare's The Winter's Tale at the BAM Harvey Theater, directed by Sam Mendes and featuring a star-studded, transatlantic cast including Simon Russell Beale, Sin?ad Cusack, Richard Easton, Rebecca Hall, Josh Hamilton, and Ethan Hawke. The evening concludes with a post-performance dessert reception with the cast onstage at the BAM Howard Gilman Opera House.
