Columbus Children's Theatre will present PINKALICIOUS tonight, September 24, through October 11, 2015 at Park Street Theatre located at 512 Park Street. The award-winning VITAL THEATRE COMPANY has announced its 2015/2016 season of five musicals for children and families, performed by adults. The season will open with Flight School, The Musical, appropriate for ages 2 to 7, which will have its world premiere on Saturday, September 26 at 1:00 pm with a special Red Carpet Premiere. Fashion Academy, The Musical, appropriate for ages 7 and up, opens Saturday, October 2 at 7:00 pm, also with a special Red Carpet Premiere. Pinkalicious, The Musical, appropriate for ages 2 to 7, now in its 8th year, will continue Sundays only, beginning Sunday, September 13 at 11:00 am. Vital Theatre's "Pinkalicious," a musical adaptation of the book by Victoria and Elizabeth Kann, will come to The Alden in McLean for a single performance at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 14. Tickets are $20 for the general public and $15 for McLean tax district residents. The Alden is located inside the McLean Community Center, which is located at 1234 Ingleside Avenue.

With a name like Pinkalicious Pinkerton, it's not surprising that this particular little girl would like the color pink. But 'like' is the incorrect word. Having a passion for pink is more like it, and her adoration for all things pink gets her into all sorts of colorful trouble in the charming Theatre for Young Audiences production playing at the SCERA Center for the Arts beginning Feb. 9-27.

Two fun family shows for children and their caregivers come to Mayo Performing Arts Center in January. Pinkalicious (Sunday, January 25) and Sid the Science Kid (Tuesday, January 27) appeal to children ages three and above.

The season will open with The Butterfly Girl, which had its World Premiere on the Vital stage in 2011. Two popular shows returning this season are Peace, Love, and Cupcakes The Musical and the long running favorite Pinkalicious, The Musical. Fancy Nancy returns for the holidays in Fancy Nancy: Splendiferous Christmas.

Based on the popular children's book by Elizabeth Kann and Victoria Kann, Pinkalicious The Musical will perform six shows at the City Theatre on Friday, November 21 through Sunday, November 23.

PINKALICIOUS, at the Adventure Theatre - Musical Theater Center, in Glen Echo Park, directed by Carl Menninger, based on Victoria and Elizabeth Kann's children's novel, and adapted by the authors, with music and lyrics by John Gregor, is a winner. Pinkalicious, the Musical is directed by Carl Menninger, with music direction from Wayne Chadwick and choreography and movement by Michael J. Bobbitt. Carolyn Agan, who recently performed as Olive Ostrovsky in the 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee at Ford's Theater, plays the titular heroine.
