CCT Opens PINKALICIOUS Tonight
Columbus Children's Theatre will present PINKALICIOUS tonight, September 24, through October 11, 2015 at Park Street Theatre located at 512 Park Street. Book by Elizabeth Kann and Victoria Kann, Music by John Gregor, Lyrics by John Gregor, Elizabeth Kann and Victoria Kann, Based on the book Pinkalicious by Elizabeth Kann and Victoria Kann. This production is directed by William Goldsmith.
ABOUT THE SHOW
Pinkalicious can't stop eating pink cupcakes despite warning from her parents. Her pink indulgence lands her at the doctor's office with Pinkititis, an affliction that turns her pink from head to toe - a dream come true for this pink enthusiast. But when her hue goes too far, only Pinkalicious can figure out a way to get out of this pink predicament.
CCT is bringing back this pinkarific tale by popular demand. "When we produced Pinkalicious at CCT in 2011 every single seat was sold- before we even opened! 21 performances - sold out! For 3 weeks calls to the box office just kept on coming: "Don't you have ANY tickets?" People were actually scalping tickets to our show! Crazy." says Artistic Director Bill Goldsmith. The musical is indeed as wildly popular as the iconic books by the same name and with good reason. The songs are catchy, the sets fantastic and the story meaningful. You see, Pinkalicious does carry a gentle message. While Pinkalicious loves pink and sweets, she eventually learns the importance of balancing her love of delectable desserts with healthy greens. It is that balance the helps restore her to her normal self and helps kids in the audience recognize the importance of eating well and taking care of your body with balanced nutrition.
TICKET INFORMATION
Adult tickets are $20-$25 and Child/Student/Senior (ages 55 & over) tickets are $15-$20. On Thrifty Thursdays, tickets are $12 for all seats, all ages. Reservations are recommended.
