The New Victory Theater Presents THE MARK OF ZORRO, 2/8-24

From acclaimed Scottish theater company Visible Fictions (Jason and the Argonauts, New Vic 2009), comes The Mark of Zorro, a thrilling tale about a mysterious masked avenger. By using simple props and physical ingenuity, the cast of three whizzes through a multitude of characters, conjuring all the drama, wit and suspense of an action flick. The Mark of Zorro will run at The New Victory Theater, 209 West 42nd Street, from February 8 through February 24, 2013.

CBS's 60 MINUTES Makes Nielsen's Top 10 For 8th Time This Season

60 MINUTES is on Nielsen's Top 10 List again, making it for the fourth consecutive broadcast. It was also the eighth time over 13 broadcasts this season that 60 MINUTES finished among America's 10 most-watched programs. Sunday's edition drew 10.3 million viewers to land at #7 for the week.

60 MINUTES made Nielsen's Top 10 List for the third consecutive week, landing at #2 by attracting 19.63 million viewers, its largest audience in four years. It was the fifth time in seven weeks that the broadcast finished among America's 10 most-watched programs. The CBS newsmagazine also finished at #2 in households (12.1/18), according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for Sunday, Dec. 16, 2012.

NBC's reality competition series 'Fashion Star' will premiere its second season on Friday, March 8, 2013 (8-9 p.m. ET). This season, 13 talented designers from around the country, including a team of two competing together, will vie for the multi-million dollar prize of launching a clothing line in Macy's, Saks Fifth Avenue and Express. As previously announced, celebrity mentors Jessica Simpson, Nicole Richie and John Varvatos return to the show and Louise Roe joins this season as host.

However, Trustus Theatre - always pursuing an opportunity to bring something fresh and different to the table - is offering a musical comedy about friends writing a musical about writing a musical. [TITLE OF SHOW] - taken from the space on a music theatre festival's application form which asks for the [title of show] - is a piece that hilariously and irreverently follows creative artists through the gauntlet of self-expression under a deadline. [TITLE OF SHOW] opens on the Thigpen Main Stage tonight, December 7th, 2012 at 8:00pm. The show runs through December 16th. After a break for the holidays, the show runs January 3rd through the 12th after Columbia rings in the New Year.

American Conservatory Theater (A.C.T.) Young Conservatory (YC) Director Craig Slaight announced today a collaboration with Scotland's Aberdeen Performing Arts (APA) Young Persons Company as part of a two-year summer international exchange program. The purpose of the program is to explore actor training for both companies in unique residencies in Aberdeen and San Francisco. At the conclusion of each year, the companies will present a co-commissioned work at their respective theaters.

On the heels of the successful Black Watch, the Shakespeare Theatre Company will bring a second production from the National Theatre of Scotland to D.C. audiences. Acclaimed Scottish playwright David Greig's The Strange Undoing of Prudencia Hart will play from November 14-December 9, 2012. For the first time in STC's history, the play will be staged outside of a traditional theatre and will be performed in DuPont Circle's Bier Baron Tavern (1523 22nd Street NW).
