A limited number of general rush seats will be sold for each performance of ONCE, on the day of the show only, when the box office opens. On 2-show days, rush tickets for both shows will be sold when the box office opens.

Following an extensive search, the Board of Dundee Rep Theatre Ltd has announced the appointment of Fleur Darkin to the role of Artistic Director for Scottish Dance Theatre (SDT), Scotland's national contemporary dance company and part of Dundee Rep Theatre, effective Autumn 2012. Darkin will replace Janet Smith who has recently taken up the post of Principal at the Northern School of Contemporary Dance.

Director and actor Natalija Nogulich has been named as director for the Chicago premiere of songwriter Spider Saloff's one-woman musical, THE ROAR OF THE BUTTERFLY, to be presented by KMP Artists at Victory Gardens' Richard Christiansen Theater May 2 - 20, 2012. In the tradition of Lilly Tomlin and Tracey Ullman, Saloff portrays eight different characters in this new musical comedy.

ONCE begins previews on Broadway Tuesday, February 28, 2012 with an opening night set for Sunday, March 18, 2012. The production features the Academy Award-winning music and lyrics of Glen Hansard and Markéta Irglová, a book by award-winning Irish playwright & screenwriter, Enda Walsh (Penelope, Hunger, The New Electric Ballroom), direction by the acclaimed Scottish director of Black Watch, John Tiffany, movement by Steven Hoggett (Black Watch, American Idiot) and musical direction by Martin Lowe (Mamma Mia!). The set and costume design are by five time Tony Award winner Bob Crowley (The Coast of Utopia, Mary Poppins), lighting design is by Tony winner Natasha Katz (Aida, The Coast of Utopia), and sound design is by Clive Goodwin. ONCE, the new musical based on the 2007 Academy Award-winning film, will play Broadway's Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre this spring. Previews will begin Tuesday, February 28, 2012 with opening night set for Sunday, March 18, 2012. The cast of the show goes into the studio today to record the cast album, which will be released by Masterworks Broadway. No word yet on a release date.

Even before the show opened today Off-Broadway, producers Barbara Broccoli, John N. Hart Jr., Patrick Milling Smith, Frederick Zollo, Brian Carmody, Michael G. Wilson, and Executive Producer Robert Cole announced that ONCE, the new musical based on the 2007 Academy Award-winning film, will play Broadway's Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre this spring. Masterworks Broadway has just announced the signing of the Original Cast Recording of Once, a new musical. The album will be recorded on Tuesday, January 17 in anticipation of a March 2012 release, in time for the show's Broadway opening on March 18, 2012.
