Williamsburg Movement & Arts Center and The Moving Beauty Series present THE CO-OP: 6 dancers plus 4 choreographers creating 1 beautiful show, this weekend, April 15th-17th, 2016 at 8:00 PM, at Williamsburg Movement & Arts Center in Brooklyn.

Building on the pioneering work of composer Robert Ashley, who believed that the America of his time was a culture of TV, the fun and fearless composer collective Experiments in Opera presents VIDEO OPERAS, a collection of five premieres created specifically for the video screen (no live performers or musicians).

June bursts with contemporary dance as the Seattle International Dance Festival (SIDF) brings its bold mix of global and local artists to the South Lake Union neighborhood for a 16-day dance profusion. For this eleventh anniversary year, the festival expands its footprint by adding Capitol Hill's Broadway Performance Hall as the venue for some of the Inter|National and Spotlight Series programs. The popular, and free, Art on the Fly moves to May 21 to sync with the SLU Market. This coordinated effort between SIDF, Amazon.com and the SLU Chamber is expected to enliven the evolving, vibrant neighborhood all day long. As in previous years, evening indoor festival performances kickoff at SLU's Raisbeck Hall; third week evening performances are inside Capitol Hill's larger Broadway Performance Hall.

MasterVoices (formerly The Collegiate Chorale) has announced that CFDA designer Christian Siriano will provide gowns for the company's upcoming performance of Dido and Aeneas, starring Kelli O'Hara & Victoria Clark, on April 28, 2016 at 7pm and April 29, 2016 at 8pm at New York City Center, 131 W. 55th Street, New York City. Peggy Baker Dance Projects announces the world premiere of PHASE SPACE, a rich and surprising full-evening work choreographed by Peggy Baker, one of Canada's most acclaimed dance artists. Playing with time, memory and transformation, PHASE SPACE features six extraordinary dancers in a surreal and elegant fusion of contemporary dance, live music, and stage design that runs tonight, January 22, through January 31, 2016 at Toronto's Betty Oliphant Theatre.

4 of Seattle's most promising choreographers create 4 new works in the pressure cooker of just 4 weeks at Velocity's Bridge Project - turning Velocity into an intense hive of urgency, excitement and dedication, kicking off Velocity's 20th anniversary year. This year's performance features exciting new work by emerging Seattle artists: ilvs strauss, Stephanie Liapis, Nathan Blackwell, and Ashleigh Miller.

As part of the eleventh edition of the COIL festival, Performance Space 122 and The Chocolate Factory present I Understand Everything Better, by recent Bessie Award Winner David Neumann. I Understand Everything Better is a deeply personal reflection on the consciousness of dying and interrupted narratives within the context of a cataclysmic storm. Combining personal narratives, traditional Japanese Noh theater and Neumann's virtuosic movement and humor, collaborators Tei Blow and Sibyl Kempson unite with Neumann to reveal the shimmer of attention to realms unseen, the concurrence of unrelated events and the body as evidence of a will having to let go.

The TOES FOR DANCE 2015 FESTIVAL will present two unique solo performances featuring Belinda McGuire Dance Projects and spoken word artist Callahan Connor (C-Command), December 11-13, 2015 at Aki Studio Theatre at Daniels Spectrum.

Celebration lingered in the air like a sweet dessert at this year's premiere of the American Dance Guild festival. Held at the Joan Weill Center for Dance, this four-day festival showcased the unique movement vocabulary of thirty-five different companies nationwide.
