Two New York City Appearances For Vocalist Meryl Romer.

PINK MARTINI, the wildly-diverse, genre-crossing, world-inspired Big-Band ensemble joins Pacific Symphony Pops for a unique night of music.The highly electric and eclectic group draws its musical inspiration from all over the world, effortlessly crossing the categories of pop, jazz and classical to create their own brand of musical fusion. While the Portland, Ore.-based, 12-member ensemble has been making waves for more than a decade with its fresh take on vintage big band sound, blending a multilingual mix of 1940s jazz, global rhythms and more-it appears for the first time with the Symphony, led by Principal Pops Conductor Richard Kaufman, on Thursday-Saturday, April 8-10, at 8 p.m, in the Renee and Henry Segerstrom Concert Hall.

Now through April 4, Wilton's Music all will be presenting A Sentimental Journey- the story of Doris Day. Shows run from Tuesday - Saturday at 7:30 with Saturday and Sunday matinees at 2:30. For its third show of its 30th anniversary season, Theatre for a New Audience will present the New York premiere of C.I.C.T. / Théâtre des Bouffes du Nord production of Love Is My Sin, the sonnets of William Shakespeare adapted by Peter Brook and performed by his wife, Natasha Parry and Michael Pennington.

The acclaimed, velvety croon of multiple Grammy Award winner Jon Secada, has resulted in numerous hits in English and Spanish establishing him as a major bilingual artist. So, it is no surprise that Secada has chosen to pay homage to some of the artists and songwriters who helped shaped his own musical history.
