Following the success of the first two seasons of its original series Song by Song, Ovation, America's only arts network, has ordered new blocks of the documentary music series from the Emmy-nominated production team at TH Entertainment, LLC.

The Way Off Broadway Dinner Theatre's Executive Producer & CEO, Bill Kiska, announced that Dee Buchanan has been named the theatre's new Resident Choreographer.

Ocean State Theatre Company (OSTC), the not-for-profit professional theatre company, currently celebrating its second summer season in Warwick, is proud to partner with the legendary comedy club, Catch A Rising Star to bring comedian Bobby Collins to Ocean State Theatre for one performance only on Sunday, August 17 at 7:30pm.

The audience is then invited to an outdoor reception in the beautiful courtyard of the Center's The Village at Ed Gould Plaza. The party will take place on Saturday, August 9, starting at 8 p.m.

In the musical comedy "9 to 5," showing at College of the Mainland Community Theatre July 17 to Aug. 10, a frazzled employee, hesitant newcomer and harassed secretary join forces to turn the tables on their boss.

The Dee Buchanan Studio of Dance and Way Off Broadway Dinner Theatre and Children's Theatre will present a free concert A Magical Musical Adventure on Sunday, July 20 at 7 pm, on the Knight Stage at Middletown High School. Forty-one local dancers ranging in age from 3 to 18 will perform together to raise money for Team Sydni. The concert features many of well-loved fairy tale characters, and includes a variety of song-and-dance styles. There is no charge for admission. Free-will donations will be accepted at the door, and during intermission the dancers' parents have organized a basket raffle, which includes donations from many Middletown merchants in an effort to further help Sydni. This is the second annual summer production of the Dee Buchanan Studio and Way Off Broadway. Last year's concert raised over $2,600 to help another local student, TJ Rufty.

Legendary country music star Dolly Parton has plans to make a new dance album that will focus on LGBT pride.

It had been three years in the making when Kristin Chenoweth took the stage at the Royal Albert Hall on Saturday for her one night only concert. She was welcomed by thunderous applause, was visibly moved and happy to be there. Over the next 2 hours she took us on a journey through different musical genres, including musical theatre, country, gospel and pop. Miss Chenoweth wowed the audience with her versatility and the effortlessness with which she moved through this eclectic program, but also with the raw emotion palpable in each song.

Today, we start rehearsals for our next concert of Transcendence Theatre Company's, Broadway Under the Stars season. I'm so excited to see all of the performers that arrived last night from NYC and LA!!! I have some close friends coming out to perform in this concert and and am of course excited for the new friends I'll be meeting! This concert will be our "Fantastical Family Night." It will also include the kids from our Broadway Kids camp….which I am SO EXCITED ABOUT! Needless to say, a lot has been going on here since our closing night of our first concert, "One Singular Sensation."

The Meeting* hosted by Justin Sayre, the acclaimed comedy/variety show, will return to THE BOOTLEG THEATER on Friday, July 25 and Saturday, July 26 at 7:30 PM. During a nine year recording hiatus from his Grammy award winning band Nickel Creek, singer/songwriter/guitarist Sean Watkins released his third solo album Blinders On, teamed up with Switchfoot singer, Jon Foreman, to form the band Fiction Family, as well as co-founded the experimental supergroup Works Progress Administration (WPA). In addition, for the last decade Sean & his sister Sara Watkins (also from Nickel Creek) have hosted a monthly residency at the Hollywood club, Largo, for their popular music show, Watkins Family Hour, which has featured guests such as Fiona Apple, Jackson Browne, Booker T, Grant Lee Phillips, John C. Reily, among many others.

The 2014/15 season will bring three new musicals to life in world premieres including the world premiere of the Sheryl Crow and Barry Levinson penned musical adaptation of the 1982 movie Diner; Kid Victory by John Kander (Chicago, Cabaret) and Greg Pierce; and Soon by Nick Blaemire. The season begins with Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine's Pulitzer Prize-winning musical Sunday in the Park with George; and continues with the musical version of Sinclair Lewis's best-selling novel Elmer Gantry; the DC area premiere of Sex with Strangers by Laura Eason; a world premiere concert event Simply Sondheim celebrating the work of Stephen Sondheim; and Kander & Ebb's classic musical Cabaret. Tickets to all of these events as well as Signature's Cabaret and Holiday Follies concerts go on sale to the public July 1 at 10AM.

54 BELOW, Broadway's Supper Club, presents Whitney Bashor Live at 54 Below tonight, June 26, 2014. Bashor starred on Broadway this season as Marian/Chiara in The Bridges of Madison County, singing Jason Robert Brown's folk-inspired 'Another Life'. Bashor's solo concert debut will showcase wide-ranging vocals, as she explores influences of rock and roll, R&B, folk classics, country and contemporary Broadway standards.
