South Orange Performing Arts Center (SOPAC) has announced its 2014-15 performance schedule through February 2015.

Song by Song, the popular and critically acclaimed original series from Ovation, America's only arts network, returns with the new season premiere of Song by Song: Sheryl Crow on Tuesday, October 14th at 10PM ET. The documentary music series, from the Emmy(R)-nominated production company TH Entertainment, will focus on four of Crow's most-enduring hit songs and the stories and inspiration behind them.

The Way Off Broadway Dinner Theatre, the area's only year-round producing theatre, reached a milestone in 2014, celebrating its 20th Anniversary Platinum Season. Today, the theatre's producers have announced the line-up for the 2015 Mainstage Season.

The Meeting* hosted by Justin Sayre, the acclaimed comedy/variety show, will return to Joe's Pub at The Public Theater on Sunday, September 14 at 9:30 PM for the launch of its landmark 6th season. The September show will include a tribute to the beloved soul diva Amy Winehouse, featuring special guests Kenny Mellman, Jessica Vosk, Xavier Rice and Mark Aaron James. NATALIE DOUGLAS - the acclaimed vocalist hailed as "sensational" by Time Out New York and "stirring" by The New York Daily News - will debut the new concert "HELLO DOLLY…THE MUSIC OF DOLLY PARTON" on Monday, September 15 at 9:30 PM. Douglas honors another notably-buxom performer: the beloved singer, actor, songwriter and Broadway composer Dolly Parton. Selections including songs that Dolly wrote such as "Jolene," "Coat of Many Colors" and "I Just Might" from the Broadway musical 9 to 5, in addition to numbers that Dolly creatively covered like Neil Young's "After The Gold Rush" and Led Zeppelin's "Stairway to Heaven." Natalie will be joined by her longtime Musical Director Mark Hartman (Broadway's Avenue Q, Sondheim on Sondheim) on piano, accordion and mandolin; Michael Blanco on bass; Scott Kuney on guitar and banjo; Joe Choroszewski on drums and Shanna Sharp on acoustic guitar.

John Partridge first came to my attention in the wonderful Drowsy Chaperone back in 2007 although he had had a great two decades previous to this working in musical theatre. Since then his career has rocketed and he is now most commonly and fondly known as Christian Clarke from Eastenders. John has most recently been seen in the BBC's gymnastics reality show Tumble until he sadly bowed out last weekend. His next venture is the release of his debut album 'Dames, Dudes and Cowboys too' under the name of Johnny Partridge and I have had the pleasure of previewing it for BWW:UK.

Today in 2009, 9 to 5 closed at the Marquis Theatre, where it ran for 148 performances. 9 to 5 is a stage musical with music and lyrics by Dolly Parton and a book by Patricia Resnick, based on the 1980 movie Nine to Five. Resnick had co-written the screenplay with Colin Higgins, the director of the film, in which Parton had her first screen role. The musical premiered at Center Theatre Group/Ahmanson Theatre in Los Angeles in September 2008 and opened on Broadway on April 30, 2009. It was nominated for 15 Drama Desk Awards, the most received by a production in a single year. It was also nominated for four Tony Awards.

Ambassador Theatre Group (ATG) is currently transforming its Front of House areas by installing a number of stylish lounges and concept bars. Having invested more than £3 million in the roll out of 22 Ambassador Lounges and 10 premium bars so far, ATG has planned a further investment of £600,000 by the end of 2014.
